Ever since I seen this image of @AzScorpion Ranger I have been wondering if this would work on the Bronco with the new keypad. in case anyone else was wondering I took matters in my own hands. Shout out to the service department for letting me borrow one for my experiment.

Hey that's my picture. lol

It should work and the black shell just pops off which will give you a little extra room for mounting if needed.

You Sir, came up with the best place to put these in my opinion. They look so out of place above the door handle. Thanks for the advice, I will surely use it when I get my Bronco in the next year or two.

Only 1 way to find out. Do it and report back. Looks like a good location but I worry gas fumes will degrade the plastic.
I wish that I could, but this is the dealership mannequin. I figured that it should be good because everything else in there is plastic and I believe that the tank is sealed. @AzScorpion did you have any problems with the plastic from the gas fumes?

Interesting! Good idea (if it works) to whoever thought of it! Pretty much the only option I didn’t order because it looks wonky on the door & is no more expensive to add later.

my plan was behind the spare but that won’t work. Not enough room.

I have to give credit to @AzScorpion as the original photo is his rig.

I wish I could take credit but this was off another on the Ranger forum. We were discussing this last fall and were trying to figure out if it'll fit as the Bronco door has a recessed area where the Ranger door is flush.

Months ago this was shot down when somebody took measurements that showed it wouldn't fit. Great news that it turned out to not be the case.
I remember that thread, that's why I wanted to test it out and see for myself. AZScorpion said that you can pop the plastic piece off to give you some more room.
