Hey everyone. In the middle of installing a Warn Evo S10 with and it comes with this wiring harness but there’s no reference in the installation instructions or the user manual.

it has 2 plugs and a switch on one side and a (black cube) terminal on the opposite end. Then a small pigtail with a fuse and thinner wire with positive and negative terminals.

Anyone know?

Hard to make out what I’m looking at there in a bundle.
How about a picture on the shop floor all spread out like an exploded diagram?

I downloaded the instruction manual and it surely doesn’t show anything like that.

That little black box says 40 amps. The Winch specs say 358 amps at load, so that can’t actually power the winch itself. My hunch is that either you have some sort of wired relocation kit for the controls, or, somehow you accidentally received a plug & play kit for a little ATV or utility winch.

I don’t see a relay or switch in the instructions. Need a better photo of that harness. Looks like a lighting harness though.

That makes sense. I probably inadvertently left that harness from maybe the KC rockets I recently insulated in the winch box. Thanks everyone.

2nd question for this mechanical inclined. Just put the entire front together again and now my hood doesn’t completely latch. It catches but doesn’t shut completely (ie, it stays in that state after you release the hood from the cabin and before you slide the under hood lever to fully release the food).
I installed a Bodyguard bumpers ACC relocation kit. It needs you to place the bracket being the hood latch. Might I have missed resetting something?

i hope whatever it is, I can work it out without taking off the grill, which would mean taking off the bumper and winch, which was an absolute B!t$h to put on myself. 😒

Photos are helpful. Take one with the hood up.

Thanks for everyone’s help. I love forums. 🍻

i figured out the latch. When I installed the acc relocation bracket, it mount to the latch. The latch mounting bolts have a small bit of adjustment room when tightening. I raised the latch mechanism and now it works. 👍
