Sand at 60mph, ok. Mud at 60mph, not ok.

FCA vs Ford: who will win the customer? Too soon to tell.

MUD IS THE DEVIL and I avoid it like the plague. Nothing good comes from mudding besides maybe smiles at the time. Then comes seized calipers and other issues.

So this is a baffling story. The guy used his Jeep off road and the warranty was voided?

Jeep Gladiator Owner Claims Dealer Voided Warranty After He Drove Through Mud (msn.com)
Over on the Gladiator Forum this guy had a video and pics of what he was doing. Basically doing the hold my beer and watch this thing. Jeep was covered with mud top to bottom when he towed it to the dealer.

Warranty does not cover stupidity.

I am sure everyone saw the video of the fellow jumping his new Ford Raptor and it was totaled on impact. Warranty claim?

I don't think I would have my jeep towed to the dealer looking like this:

When I frequented the Subaru forums, there were dire warnings to NOT POST your weekends at the track on social media.
Subaru monitored those and if your user name was easily connected to you/your car, warranties were getting denied.
So , let this be a warning to you if you're going to go out and thrash on that thing while rolling film(data).

Ford is watching....always watching.

my 86 doesn't look far from that jeep in that picture, and that was just getting myself out of my yard thursday, it is a yard, with grass, but it was wet after rain.

it really just sounds like electronics aren't being potted at all to keep them waterproof,

A warranty is really to guarantee your vehicle will be free from manufacturing defects. It's not to cover damage done to the vehicle that you caused by abusing it.

Say what you want about the purpose of thr Bronco (or jeep), there is no way the warranty is going to cover damage done when wheeling.

Well, we could argue that using the Bronco or Jeep for it's intended purpose, within reason, and a part fails because it gets wet, or an axle/diff breaks because of a rock, is a manufacturing defect, the parts were not designed and manufactured to withstand the abuse from the intended usage of the truck,

I havent seen a ton of vehicle warranties, but the ones I have typically say they vehicle is to be free from manufacturing defects. Most of them typically explicitly exclude wear and tear as well as damage caused by abuse.

I guess there might be exceptions, but I haven't happened upon them myself.
