Interior Grab Handle Lights installed

I've left the Dark side and can now see the light, literally!!!

Installed the Grab handle lights from @Mabett.

They are a solid piece (4ea), easy install. The wire harness has a little black box. I recommend securing it to the inner / wire side with dbl sided tape. It will rattle...

Also, I kept my original paracord grab handles for the front as well.

Are they compatible with hard and soft tops?
Do they also work with the push button switch in the ceiling by center rear view mirror?
do they fade in and out?
Have the problems with the initial interior lights been corrected?

I would say yes to all but, I have a hard top.

I don't see why a soft top would be an issue...

How comfortable are the handles, I'm not a fan of the paracord ones that hang down, but the lighted ones seem a bit ridged...

I have these handles, and I have a soft top. They work like the other Mabbet lights, and I have had no issues with them. The pull-down handle is great.

Nice light in the cabin, I think it is better directed than the other lights.

They feel good and fit the hand. Seem sturdy...

Fyi, when getting into the truck you can't see them, that's why I kept the paracord handles. Easier for the girls...

Good question! I'm in the NE and the hot season is done.

I'm thinking they may be fine since it's aluminum but, could be warm at 1st touch...

Oh gotcha, the grip is fairly large. Tape or foam could work if needed.

I am in Miami and yes they can get warm or hot baking in the sun all day. To combat that, just pick up a cover and the issue is solved. Also, they look nice.

My family is in New Iberia and I lived in Nawlins for a long time. Nothing compares to Louisiana summer. My Dad often said he'd rather be back in Vietnam! Lol

I tried the original Mabbett lights without the handles and I could never get them to shut off. Once they came on they stayed on forever (or at least the 20 min before I had visions of a dead battery and unplugged them). Had great hopes for them but since I couldn't get them to shut off I had to take them out.

Now the Mabbett light that replaced the one in the very back works fine but the ones that attached along the sides never worked for me in my truck. Or should I say they worked too well.... If they ever figure it out I'd love to try them again.
