Nice to read that you will be in Moab come May. Your Bronco will have no issues in crawling Hell's Gate. The key is wheel placement, steady pace, and knowing that your Bronco can do it. After driving Hell's Revenge and Fins &Things, I am completely confident in taking the Bronco almost any where. It's capabilities blew me away. Make sure you get some video and post it for us all to enjoy.
The Bronco will have no problem at all in Moab, I have done all these trails in a FJ on 33's great time. We did bite off a little more than I needed on Steel Bender guys with us said it kept getting tougher and tougher over the years. We winched down one obstacle after a guy almost went head over heels.

I'm surprised at how little slippage you had coming out with wet tires.
Hey SO, It was easier exiting as you are able to get a bit of a run at it. Still steep though.

Nice! I know that was way steeper than in the vid.

Thought you were driving in Michigan at first. We got pot holes deeper than that and don’t get me started on the sink holes.
Glad that I don't live in Michigan! 😅

As we all know, video/photos never really show how steep something really is. The sound of my tires slipping on the slickrock in Moab, UT as I enter into this bathtub on the infamous Hell's Gate Revenge trail, while in Crawl mode, will hint at how steep it really was. Lot's of fun, and certainly sphincter tightening...

What you mean by "crawl mode"? Trail cruise control? Manual Crawl gear? Goat mode rock crawl?

Love that trail. Been years since I’ve been to Moab in old Jeep but hope to make it out with the Bronco someday.

What you mean by "crawl mode"? Trail cruise control? Manual Crawl gear? Goat mode rock crawl?
Our manual transmissions have a crawler gear that is lower-geared than what is available in the 10AT.

Thanks. Didnt catch that it was a manual. That 100/1 gear got you up that smooth.

More likely the crawler was used on the way down and first or second on the way up. You do not move very fast in C


OP, I agree with your comments - I had no problems on the trails I took on with my 33s. I won’t be attacking Metal Masher or Pritchett any time soon, though!

Didn't it though. The mental part is always the toughest in a Bronco, as it's capabilities far outweigh my fears, lol.
I've done Moab some, but those trails spooked me. You've inspired me, Poacher!
