Is color the only difference between the MIC hardtop and the painted black hardtop?

Has anyone found a difference other than color between the MIC hardtop and the painted black hardtop?

This may be obvious but the mic top has a textured finish where the painted one is smooth.

Just to chime in we heard from a guy at the factory that the idea the MIC won't easily show scratches is false.

He said they had to be careful putting them together to not scratch them.

It's not like "looks white underneath" scratches but the texture enables scratches to be seen.
