My daughters usually name our vehicles. I had a 4Runner and my wife had a q50. The girls named them beauty and the beast. Now I have the gladiator, they call it Glady or Gladise. I’m afraid to tell them the bronco has a he Sasquatch package. They will probably call it sassy. Lol

When I registered my 85 they asked me if I wanted a truck plate or a car plate. Car plate cost less to register.
Always referred to it as a Bronco

My wife called my 87 Papa Bronco and my 72 baby Bronco.

So if an 85 is considered full size Bronco and a 2021 is full size because of the Sport where does that leave the early Broncos?

It's plainly a mid-size SUV. Same class as the 4Runner. So the question becomes, is a mid-sized SUV a truck?

Personally I am more likely to say "my car" simply because I am used to having cars. I wouldn't think of it as "my truck", but to each his own. My self-identity does not depend on my vehicular conveyance being of a certain type, so who cares.

"My vehicle" or "my Bronco" seems more accurate and defensible than either "car" or "truck". I try to use "vehicle" on here.

So then a 2wd F150 isn't a truck because it doesn't have a transfer case?
It was a joke, it really doesn’t matter. Anyone who gets upset over calling a bronco a truck is a loser

I might as well add my 2c. To me, there are 3 basic vehicle types: car, truck and van. Sedans, coupes and station wagons are all types of cars. Pickups, 4x4s and SUVs are all types of trucks. Brand (Ford) and model (Bronco) are just further levels of specification. I will refer to my future Bronco as a "Bronco" but will also probably call it more generically a "truck" or "4x4" sometimes. The titles for my EB and Scouts all said 2D WAGON but I almost always called them "Bronco" or "Scout".
What do people's titles say for this Bronco? Is the Soft top a 4D CONV?

I recently read a pretty simple definition of what is a car vs a truck. Cars carry people, trucks carry cargo .
Monster trucks carry cargo?

Also, Stryker is a car by your definition

Bronco is not a truck. Trucks by definition are vehicles designed to be able to transport some kind of non-human "cargo". Bronco are not designed for this purpose, they are off-road SUVs.

every vehicle with a trunk is designed to transport non-human cargo, and SUVs are specifically designed for that purpose, as are all wagons and hatchbacks.

Has anyone called it a jeep yet? It's not a Jeep, but it's a jeep.
