I have the Anderson Composites installed. Cannot say anything but great things on quality and have had no issues. Absolutely love it and thankful I bypassed the MIC. No issues with gas struts as mentioned above. Have never heard of that till now. Can’t imagine having any other hard top. 10 out of 10.
Same here! Though I feel for the people who have those issues

The ADV hardtop is far superior to the OEM top, from what I've been told. With that said I'm glad I dropped the extra $800 on the factory one, because it's been great (MY22).
ADV never made a top. Nothing was produced.

Have not seen any problems with cracking on the MOD or Painted tops. So go for one of those and not the MIC since the ‘24 still crack.

Given far superior design and quality of Armadillo tops, going all in, despite price and wait time:

- Only aftermarket top with full open air experience ie removable roof inserts front and back seat
- Only top where front and back seat top inserts fit snuggly into back of vehicle
- Only top made of material that won't warp or crack
- Sound deadening blows away all other tops hard or soft
- Gull wings for storage and ventilation
- Excellent molle panels integration
- Hardtop design gives more headroom inside vehicle
- Both slant back and square back designs (I'm square back all day)

I paid for a full open air experience, only Armadillo and Ford factory tops have open air in front AND back seat. The fact that other aftermarket tops do not open all the way, it's such a bummer.

While Ford top can be open in front and back seats, they designed the back seat insert as one giant piece! How do you take off all roof inserts and store them when on the road? Put the back seats down, really? For this reason alone, the Armadillo top sold me as their front and back top inserts fit perfectly in back storage area:

My plan is to rig for overlanding via Armadillo / Gobi Racks collab. (see pics) When I go on trips, I'll put on a side opening rooftop tent on the back of Gobi rack, Gobi design allows for rear mount. This way I can have the convertible experience up front, even when overlanding, closing up the top as needed when on my trips.

Clearly, I'm convertible / open air experienced obsessed, but I sold my 68' Bronco to pay for my Badsqautch and I excpect the full open air experience. Been watching these Armadillo tops develop for a while, so stoked people are now taking deliveries of their tops!

Armadillo. This top can probably outlast the Bronco, and surely anything currently on the market. While ramp up and delivery was longer, now it seems Armadillo has fallen into a groove and production seems to have sped up.

I cannot say enough just how good this top really is and well, you get what you pay for. Armadillo all the way.

I’ve had my soft top since 2021, with no issues. Like others… my original order was a hard top, but changed to get my vehicle faster. I’d like to get a hard top before next winter, but unsure if Ford or a 3rd party has produced anything acceptable yet. Hoping that this forum can drop a few hints for me as I start my research.

In my opinion, I feel there are two options currently for hard tops in the market that you currently can’t go wrong with.

1- Which is my favorite the @Armadillo Designs Hardtop. Yes people complain about the price. But you need to look further into what you’re getting for that price.
It’s an all aluminum hardtop with a few different Powder Coating options or plain raw option to paint or powder coat yourself. They offer a bunch of different add-on accessories to customize the top to your needs. Including different options for existing rack manufacturers like I have online, which is the @TrailRax rack system. They have two different design options the slant back and the square back. Along with a few different options for designs and colors for an interior marine based insulation. Go on the website and check it out won’t be disappointed.
Bare in mind this hardtop is not 100% complete convertible like the original one. It is more like a targa top with the option of removing gull wing doors and back door to make it feel more like a Safari top. This design does add more structural rigidity to your vehicle. Also, it does help with wind noise. I have noticed a 5 to 10 dB decrease in noise. Which does not sound like much. But it is when you’re trying to talk on Bluetooth. Let’s face it. We all know. Bluetooth sucks all these vehicles.
I will say the only concern thing most people have is the timeline in which it takes to get the top. It does take a little while and if you’re in a hurry, you may need to look elsewhere. These are all custom-made per order and they do have a large backlog in the queue currently.
I did have to wait for mine for longer than expected, but was completely 100% satisfied with the outcome 100% worth the wait.

2- Coming in at close second is the @Turn Offroad hard top. I was able to see one in person at King of the hammers this last month. I was very impressed with this top, like I am with all of the products they sell. This top is a great solution to replace your factory like hard top or soft top with the ability to be completely removable. They do offer optional accessories for their top as well to allow you to customize it to your needs. They do have tops available and in stock and ready to ship. Their price is lower than the armadillo top and I believe it is close to the cost of a factory hardtop. In my opinion, the quality is much better than the factory hardtop.

There you go there’s my opinion on whether you should risk buying a top in today’s market.

Here is my vehicle with the powder coated white armadillo square back top

Which trailrax gear are you looking at? I’m in the middle of deciding which rack systems for the Armadillo setup - they have a L track for the mounting points on their roof.

@TrailRax is finalizing a mounting system for the @Armadillo Designs hardtop. it should be out soon. The standard 4 door rack will work for the square back and the 2door will work for the slant back

they got a lot of money up front though.
I got my money back from them in March of 2024, right before the wheels fell off. I warned others to do the same and some got taken advantage of and that sucks.
