So seriously, this doesn't happen to anyone else?

For the record I never had this problem for the first 6 months I owned the vehicle when the fob was stored in it. This seems to be a more recent development in the last 3 months or so.

time to change the battery in the fob?

it could be interacting with fob sensor in the center console for starting the vehicle with a 'dead' fob

On the question of your Bronco possibly being possessed. My first one did all kinds of unexplainable crap the dealer and Ford couldn’t figure out. I confirmed my suspicion when I noticed the temporary license tag the day I dropped it off at the dealer for ford to pick up and take back.

I find it interesting people still leave their keys/fob in their vehicle 24/7.

Living in a safe neighborhood helps. I take my fob out when I go to a busy commercial strip mall and such where the risk increases significantly. Welcome to socialist America, in the past people used to leave their houses unlocked (my grandparents did).

That aside, is anyone else having these kinds of electronic gremlins?

quick question, I missed asking the salesman how these keys work.....if I get near the Bronco with the key in my pocket will the door unlock by itself ? When I park and walk away does the Bronco arm itself while carrying the key ?, Do all doors lock ?, sorry about all the questions but my last ride was a 2008 F 150

The car unlocks when you touch the inside of any handle. If there is a setting for automatic locking I have not used it. I usually touch the little nib on the outside of the door handle to lock it. More detail is in the manual if you want to explore further.
