That’s my Bronco, there is a winch back there and it's a 12k Badlands.

How much ground clearance/approach angle did you lose with this and which brand is it?

Looks nice, well done just wondering on what was lost. Also, did you do a slight lift to offset the weight increase?

It’s the Rough Country hidden winch mount.

I lost no ground clearance, but I think that it may have cost me a few degrees of approach angle. I would need to actually measure the approach angle to give you an honest answer, but it's never been an issue with the off-roading that I have done.

I have not made any changes specifically to address the weight of the winch. I currently have the Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 suspension installed as delivered and prior to that I was running a Badlands non-Sasquatch suspension. I have slightly more rake (1/2") with the Eibach's, but I could adjust them higher with ease. It was pretty level with the Badlands Non-Sasquatch suspension.

I may need to adjust the suspension once I add some additional components to the front when I upgrade to the M210.

Just want to butt-in and say that I don't think I lost any approach angle at the wheels and very minimal in between.

I didn't notice any suspension change with the stock Badlands suspension either. This set up keeps the weight of the winch lower and closer to the front suspension, so it should be expected not to affect the rake significantly.

Physics and all that is why I chose this setup. I really don't plan on needing the winch all the time. I'm not trying to push the limits of the Bronco platform off-road. I want to have fun and drive it home.

The winch is a safety net for me. Lots of dudes out on the trails aren't happy until they break something and if it's pushing limits and that's their kind of fun, good for them.

Also, I don't like burying axles in mud, etc., because that means I get muddy and wet... I hate wet clothes. 😂

Love my hidden winch! And I use it ALOT lol. I think I used it 10 plus times on this trip if you want to see it in action.
