I placed my reservation in Oct 2020 (10,000,000).
You'll likely be a MY22 delivery.

I went to my dealership Mar 26th (so I missed the March deadline), made my build, but I actually decided to put it on hold because I started to feel uncomfortable w/ the dealership.

There were just a few red flags: My initial salesman (prior to orders) quit and it seemed really abrupt, I actually found out through reviews and a thread on this site it was because the dealership was acting "unethically"? My new salesman said the dealership is not allowing even a dollar below MSRP (which understandable I guess) then he proceeded to tell me they have let people walk out the door to work with other dealerships over 500$ in savings.... like what? Even when I stated there were dealerships offering invoice pricing around the area I live they said they were 100% not willing to do that.
If for any reason you get a "gut feeling" about doing business with someone, always trust it. It's not too late to walk away. You can find an alternative in your area or abroad. It's not too late to change dealerships.

I am an RN so the last year has been unreal, I gave my all to the hospital and threw everything else aside. I really haven't had the energy or time to do in-depth research until these last few weeks, also why I am behind on placing my order. Now I am just feeling like wtf.
It for sure feels like I know more than the salesperson I am dealing with, but that sounds to be the consensus.
My wife has family that lives near your zipcode. Thank you for what you do. Hopefully we can get you sorted out and deliver a little piece of mind.

-Is that stuff normal for a dealership? (I'm kind of nervous they will dick me around and tack on extra fees or whatever). This is my 1st brand new car purchase and I feel very naive. I have been leasing w/ honda and have had a totally different experience than I have had at this ford dealership.
It really depends on your dealership and the region you're in. Some areas are cut throat and snakes in suits. Some are just good ol' boys tryin' to sell cars.

-Is there anything I can make them agree to like no aftermarket (I added a kayak roof rack) installation fees, them paying for the tax, or something? I am just trying to find something to justify staying with them.
You can't make them agree to anything. If they don't care if you walk away, walk away.

-Can I even move my reservation? Would it be worth it at this point?
Yes. You can still move your reservation. You can call Ford at (800) 392-3673 and explain that you would like to change your reservation to another dealership.

They can convert your order back to a reservation if need be and then transfer that reservation to a dealer of your choice, nationwide.

It sounds like it would be worth it.

-When I asked for my invoice pricing comparison it has a priority code of 19 does that mean I could get my build 2021 or is that not even close to reality?
It means that your vehicle will be built by the timestamp and there isn't a "hold" on the order. Because your reservation is so late, you can expect to have your order built towards the back of the line.

-Is it in my best interest to just stick it out with this dealership and get the build?
If they're not treating you right and you feel like you can get a better deal elsewhere, it's in your best interest to try. A little bargain shopping goes a long way.

After this past year, I just want a freakin car I can take the doors and roof off and just drive w/ some fresh air in my god damn bare face.
And it sounds like you deserve it.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you all! and thank you for all your research and work you all put into these threads they have been a hugely helpful resource.
My first suggestion would be to call Granger Ford and speak with someone about changing your dealership to theirs. They may be in backlog territory at this point, though. They're a great dealership with open communication. And they're about 4 hours from your zipcode.

Or contact @DealerInsider here on these forums. Be direct about what you're trying to do and see if they may be able to help you resolve this issue. However, they are a little further away than Granger. :)

Either way, you'll get a better deal with an alternative dealership.

Good luck! Don't give up hope, you'll have the wind in your face and be a part of a bigger Bronco community.

Edit: This took a long time to format, stupid quotes got away from me. I see that others have recommended @Granger Ford and @DealerInsider while I was typing this up. That link earlier in the post is to Granger Ford's website.

@grovex017 first of all thank you for the incredible work you've been doing over the past year. You deserve every little bit of this Bronco and more.
I can't speak to whether you can change dealerships at this point or not (never could up here in the first place), but if you can then I would. These guys sound like clowns who don't deserve your business. Call up Ford Customer Service and hopefully you'll get a straight answer, or maybe one of the super helpful and knowledgeable users on here like @ZackDanger will be able to provide more insight for you.
And yes, it is common for Bronco customers to know more about it than the so-called specialists. Many of us have had incredibly frustrating experiences with poorly informed salespeople.
Stay strong, keep up the good work, and one day you'll be pulling those doors off like the champ you are. 🍻

I believe 19 means 21 but don’t quote me on that. If your dealer doesn’t have many orders you might be high up on there allocations list so it is quite possible. Wife is on the heart team and couldn’t wait any longer so she got a jeep in October for that open air feel.
Thank you! and I do not think this dealership has a lot of orders ... probably cause everyone walked away. The last time I spoke on the phone with them that was one of their selling points was that if I stayed w/ them I may get my order earlier than another better-priced dealership

Fellow nurse. You are going to wake up farting the smoke they blew up your ass, but I'm a psych nurse at a state mental hospital, so I tend to be blunt. There are dealerships who are at invoice or well below invoice. Your reservation date is well outside any hope of a 2021. Minnesota is not far from Iowa. @Granger Ford has great deals and if you're up for a long road trip, @DealerInsider in Pa and Stephens Ford in WVA have great deals.
Thank you! I appreciate bluntness haha and suggestions :)

Lots of good advice here already. I will add that Granger’s deal was $2000 under invoice if you originally reserved with them. However, if you contact them, they may do you a solid and allow you to convert and still give you that same deal. They’ve been great to work with, as anyone would say who has worked with them.

Call Granger. End of story. All things will be answered and no dicking around done.

Sweet baby Jesus! We need to talk. I’ve got a few people on my ignore list that I think you can help. How much time have you got? This could take a while! 😂

This honestly may be true...but I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: there really is NO price for peace of mind. I’m with @DealerInsider right now and the constant communication and immediate responsiveness for any/all questions I have has been amazing. Especially when it feels like new info comes out every two weeks...he just keeps rolling with the punches.
I second everything everyone has already said about him!

As an aside: in addition to a great deal he’s also offering an awesome plan where you can lease a new Jeep from him until your Bronco gets made...at which point he guarantees buy back of the Jeep and you can drive away with your Bronco!
It looks like with an October reservation you’re most likely looking at a MY22 no matter what...and if you have to have that open air feel this summer (which I completely understand!) this could be a great bridge for you until your Bronco gets here!

***lastly...from a fellow healthcare worker: thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for your patients and their families over the past year 👑

Medicine here, and I feel ya after this last year. I'm a late July reservation (week 2), which actually puts me closer to an October reservation than a day 1-3 reservation #'s wise so I'm also looking at a MY22 most likely (still have some small hopes of a 21).

Anyway I just wanted to plug @DealerInsider with the under invoice deal - AND - he has a Wrangler lease deal that I'm going to take advantage of. He let's you lease a Wrangler and buy's out your lease the day your Bronco is delivered. Get some of that fresh air now while you wait for the Bronco!

You should have received an email from Ford not long ago explaining the delays in building and rewards program set up to soften the blow of waiting. The email included a phone number. If you call Ford using that number, the rep asks you for your name ,address etc to validate ID, then they ask for your reservation number. They then will tell you what model year your reservation is scheduled for. The rep stated ones reservation date determines MY build not actual order date. The mystery is solved.

No, that was the 21’ allocation cut off. Any orders after that weren’t figured for 21.
