Seems like you've received a lot of good advice already so I'll just add good luck with whatever you end up doing.

Sounds like you deserve a break, hope you get your bronco earlier than expected.

I am an RN so the last year has been unreal, I gave my all to the hospital and threw everything else aside. I really haven't had the energy or time to do in-depth research until these last few weeks, also why I am behind on placing my order.
Honestly it cannot hurt to contact Ford and see if they can do anything for you, or ask your new dealer of choice if they can reach out to their regional rep to see if they can help. You're obviously busting your ass for a very good cause, they may be able to accelerate your timeline a bit.

Different situation but on the way home from a chemo treatment in his 6-month old Audi my father told me he wanted a BMW instead, car had to be a custom order b/c wagon and he wanted specific options. Long story short I contacted head of BMW NA on LinkedIn, he hooked me up with my regional VIP ordering specialist, and we had the car built / shipped / delivered from Germany in 8 weeks which was a month ahead of schedule.

All that is to say... someone at Ford may be feeling charitable one day and help you out b/c it's a nice thing to do in recognition of all the good things you're doing for your community. Who knows, cannot hurt to ask.

I placed my reservation in Oct 2020 (10,000,000).
I went to my dealership Mar 26th (so I missed the March deadline), made my build, but I actually decided to put it on hold because I started to feel uncomfortable w/ the dealership.
There were just a few red flags: My initial salesman (prior to orders) quit and it seemed really abrupt, I actually found out through reviews and a thread on this site it was because the dealership was acting "unethically"? My new salesman said the dealership is not allowing even a dollar below MSRP (which understandable I guess) then he proceeded to tell me they have let people walk out the door to work with other dealerships over 500$ in savings.... like what? Even when I stated there were dealerships offering invoice pricing around the area I live they said they were 100% not willing to do that.

I am an RN so the last year has been unreal, I gave my all to the hospital and threw everything else aside. I really haven't had the energy or time to do in-depth research until these last few weeks, also why I am behind on placing my order. Now I am just feeling like wtf.
It for sure feels like I know more than the salesperson I am dealing with, but that sounds to be the consensus.

-Is that stuff normal for a dealership? (I'm kind of nervous they will dick me around and tack on extra fees or whatever). This is my 1st brand new car purchase and I feel very naive. I have been leasing w/ honda and have had a totally different experience than I have had at this ford dealership.

-Is there anything I can make them agree to like no aftermarket (I added a kayak roof rack) installation fees, them paying for the tax, or something? I am just trying to find something to justify staying with them.

-Can I even move my reservation? Would it be worth it at this point?

-When I asked for my invoice pricing comparison it has a priority code of 19 does that mean I could get my build 2021 or is that not even close to reality?

-Is it in my best interest to just stick it out with this dealership and get the build?

After this past year, I just want a freakin car I can take the doors and roof off and just drive w/ some fresh air in my god damn bare face.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you all! and thank you for all your research and work you all put into these threads they have been a hugely helpful resource.
Definitely change dealers. Most dealers seem to be sticking with MSRP pricing due to it being new but the rest sounds horrible. You should've gone to Granger.

This honestly may be true...but I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: there really is NO price for peace of mind. I’m with @DealerInsider right now and the constant communication and immediate responsiveness for any/all questions I have has been amazing. Especially when it feels like new info comes out every two weeks...he just keeps rolling with the punches.
I second everything everyone has already said about him!

As an aside: in addition to a great deal he’s also offering an awesome plan where you can lease a new Jeep from him until your Bronco gets made...at which point he guarantees buy back of the Jeep and you can drive away with your Bronco!
It looks like with an October reservation you’re most likely looking at a MY22 no matter what...and if you have to have that open air feel this summer (which I completely understand!) this could be a great bridge for you until your Bronco gets here!

***lastly...from a fellow healthcare worker: thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for your patients and their families over the past year 👑
thank u appreciate u!

That's what I said.
That’s actually not what you said at all. The cut off is for allocations not for model year. Ford wasn’t letting dealers pad their orders (I.E. Granger) to get more allocations for 2021 so they shut it down prior to Grangers October deal. If a dealer got allocated 195 and only had 195 orders before September they don’t lose 5 orders, their next 5 are 2021 regardless of reservation date. An October order is likely a 2022 but ordering after September whatever didn’t automatically make it a 2022 or 2023.

Thanks for all what you do and all of the hours you work- and wow you sure do deserve a new Bronco, without any hassle.

Any good dealership will be very happy to have your business and place an order for you on a new Bronco. I would definitely change dealerships. This issue is, we all have a long wait and yours will be even longer. The sooner you get your order in the better though.

I have a July 14 reservation and after reading all of the posts, delays from manufacturer's that Ford is experiencing, dealer allocations, priority codes, etc., etc. I just don't know what to expect. My dealer just says "don't expect anything until late fall, winter".

But hang in there- keep your thoughts of driving with the doors off, etc. It is so fun on a nice day- and you will get your Bronco!!

Not sure if you meant it to sound that way, I hope not. Granger came up with their "October deal" after Ford announced the cut-off date. Zach was very clear this offer was to attract new buyers for the next model year.

Buy the time the end of '22 and '23 is here the "new" will be worn off, availability will not be an issue, these units will be on the dealer lot and priced the same as every other mass produced unit.

Unfortunately, MSRP is going to be standard most places. Dealers know that for the first year or two they can sell every Bronco they get without having to offer a discount. Some dealers are willing to cut deals to get more customers and therefore more allocations.

Regarding feeling naive, I know the feeling. Happened on my first car, my house, etc.

Most bank websites have loan calculators you can use to estimate your monthly payment. I think they take into account your sales tax, even. Next look up your license and registration fees and tax with the state. The way to avoid getting jerked around is already knowing what you should be paying before walking into the dealership. You can even have a loan already lined up from a credit union or bank. You don't have to go with the dealer offered financing.

If you are considering the dealer offered financing, fire up your calculator and just multiply the monthly payment by the loan term real quick. Sure, the payment might be $50/mo less, but when they add 24 months to the loan term it might cost thousands more. Not that there is anything wrong with it, you just should be aware it's happening so you don't feel swindled in 5 years when you're still making payments.
-Is there anything I can make them agree to like no aftermarket (I added a kayak roof rack) installation fees, them paying for the tax, or something? I am just trying to find something to justify staying with them.
With this dealer, probably not. But if they do offer any concessions, make sure to get it in writing, and make sure it's reflected on the invoice when you go to sign everything.

-Can I even move my reservation? Would it be worth it at this point?

-Is it in my best interest to just stick it out with this dealership and get the build?
I believe you can still move your res, you just have to contact Ford Customer service.

I'm pretty cheap at heart, so I would move to another dealer offering a discount. But As long as you decline all the "extras" (be adamant about this, the "but we already applied undercoating" is bullsh*t, you didn't authorize the work, so you're not paying for it), there isn't really a lot the dealer can do to screw you after the sale is done. Your loan is with your bank or Ford Credit, and after you get it registered in your name, the car is yours.

Finally, I believe MY22 offers X-plan pricing. You could ask the dealer if they will honor X-plan. If yes, you could buy 100 shares of Ford for $1300 right now, and hold onto it for 6 months. Then fill out this form, and send it to Ford, and they will send you an X-plan PIN. Cash out your shares (hopefully they have gone up) and use it as a down payment. The only wrinkle is if your Bronco gets delivered before October, and right now no one really knows...

Lol I have 2 orders with Granger, I’m not trashing them. Granger deal was 9/28

This was communicated October 16th:

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...e-sep-18-2022-my-reservation-start-date.6835/

Either way, the point was the allocation cut off was to hamper dealers (like Granger) from getting more 2021 allocation from people switching to them. Big dealers whined and got their way.
