Is This Right? Suspension looks like it's not tightened down from the factory

It just needs tightened. The bushing partly extrudes through the bottom and is present in the loose bolt pic.

Look at my previous pic where you can see that rubber piece and a tiny gap.He has that.

Gotta love this forum. Thanks everyone!!! Problem resolved....but geeeeeez. Hard to believe, but my Bronco wasn't fully secured to the frame before it left the factory.

Did you tighten yourself? I wonder if it needed to be torqued? I can't believe it left like that. Seems like a pretty big miss and a safety issue.

Edit: I suppose probably not if it's a frame bolt.

Took it to the dealer and they torqued her up in just a few minutes. Head scratcher!

I saw a checklist on here somewhere of everything to look at before taking ownership. I'm definitely adding this to my list. Who knows if this was a one off. Most people aren't looking at this stuff with all the top, paint and other issues.

No excuse for this. I get a bolt may be missed over the course of millions, but QC has to catch this sort of thing. If a customer who most likely isn’t mechanically inclined can spot this, a QC technician has no excuse not to.

I am glad you saw it and got it fixed pronto. I believe the biggest problem with the Bronco are the faulty nuts behind the wheel.

There's a google docs checklist on the first post. It's a lot of basic stuff, but when you are REALLY excited to pick up a Bronco you've waited this long for... I'm sure people miss simple things.

I had a first year Dodge Dakota that had a bolt going into the front spindle that was not in all the way. I tighten it and checked everything else, and went on my way. Didn't really consider that I had already driven from Detroit to TN.

BTW, it was an early construction model. Sounds like the Broncos are having a few teething issues associated with being early in their production.

Just checked, all 8 on my 2dr BD are okay.

1 in each corner, plus 2 between the wheels on each side.

Modern assembly plant nut drivers can record both the torque and the number of revolutions completed. With MAP being over-hauled from being a Focus plant in 2019 (I think), I'd be surprised if this isn't being recorded.
