Is this the best aftermarket roof rack?? Badass Tents Full Size Roof Rack for Hardtop

I'm worried that any of these aftermarket racks might not be compatible with the MIC 2.0. Anyone speak to this? I have the first MIC and have been speaking to my dealer about the replacement option

There are no discernable differences with regards to the roof rack. If anything, it would likely have a higher dynamic rating, seeing as the cap had additional fastening on top to the bar.

Too bad they have a shitty 1.0 top, honeycomb'd all to hell! If that top can handle 200Lbs dynamic, count me in!

My question is exactly that - can the top really handle that much weight? Has Ford published weight bearing numbers for the top itself? I’ve only seen numbers for their roof rack.

I’d be curious to know what engineering went into determining those numbers. Sure, there are more attachment points, but if they are limited by the attachments at the top/body, flexibility of the panel, etc.

Edit: look like drilling is maybe for rack lighting.

Supposed to be no drilling required. Havent got it yet to confirm, should be here in a few weeks or so. I'll definitely post details when i get it

Just noticed this on the product page... Maybe it's refering to the lights?
It looks like a great setup.... But I dunno about those stamped crossbars...? Are you able to use universal crossbar Clamp mounts? Looks like nut/bolt only. Probably perfect for just RTT's though.

Yeah I think the drilling is referring to adding the lightbar to the front.
I'm really unsure about those crossbars, they look kind of wide but I'm sure they made them easy for installing RTTs. Thats the only thing I plan to put up there. We'll see how it goes
