Honda, Nissan, Mercedes, Toyota, etc all make convertibles that don’t.
Polaris, can-am, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Kubota make cars?
link me to some crash test data to the models you site as on road vehicles

We are talking about offroad convertible vehicles or am I in the wrong forum? And a lot of 2 seater convertible cars have a metal roll bar over your head built into the seatback.

You might be.
you LITERALLY said there’s a reason almost every car.

you don’t say off-road

mx5 doesn’t have a bar
G37 couple doesnt
I can go on and on

but lll concede and say almost every convertible made

now which off-road vehicle that was named has crumple zones and safety testing for the occupants

i keep searching but can’t figure it out
Kubota? Can am?

do dirt bikes have them?
What about taking the doors off
I mean a manufacturer could make a door that would hold an occupant in and protect them from all the same things….

I guess you are stuck on the word car. We are talking about a Bronco and I am concerned about using something for what it was built for and not having a bar over my head. Kubota makes side by sides. Open top offroad. I am concerned about real world safety.

So not concerned about cars
But concerned about the bronco not being as stout as the Kubota, that can’t withstand a crash with a car.

NONE OF THE SIDE BY SIDES YOU MENTIONED are crash worthy. Real world. None.

what are we comparing?

I’d be interested if the bronco can withstand an ied or shaped charges while we are being curious about small data subsets

On top of that in the absence of crash data neither of us know anything about the bronco.

and, as I alluded to earlier, removable doors absolutely increase the chance of a side impact serious injury, which in the real world happens at least as often as a turn over into a jersey barrier.

Call me stupid…. How is that salvage? It looks like extremely minor damage
frame on driver side probably has body mounts all the way to radiator pushed - new frame and new rear bumper, hinges for tailgate, otherwise ready to go. No warranty, no standard collision or comprehensive - this is a good looking basket case.

take it and cut the back off and make a truck out of it
A light roll-over Ranger (whatever the sister truck is) frame could make a real interesting vehicle - go ahead and race-gusset the pick-up frame while squaring it. The big problem is it has no road privileges now, to get a Reconstructed Title in strict, maybe all states, it must be returned to factory I believe. I think it is going to take a Ford Dealer with spare time and space dealer could get some warranty insurance - it is an early production new vehicle. Owner might have hit the gas instead of brake after rolling out of garage and hit a big tree stump real hard. It is sooo tempting, but a total tar-baby - someone is going to wish they never bought it.

Softtop windows are saggy, must be frame damage.

That's kind of a crazy incident with it so low. I was rear ended once in my JKU by a Cruze and it scuffed the rear tire and hit the ball, but completely folded their hood and a hole in their bumper.. had no damage to anything I couldn't wipe off. That said, I'd like to see more pics. I'm not sure about MA, but in MI, to my understanding repair shops can put a lein so high they can basically force insurance to total a vehicle if they wanted.

I've been checking Copart from time to time and this is the first Bronco I have seen.
https://www.copart.com/lot/58429491/2021-ford-bronco-base-ma-north-boston

Obviously it is mislabeled as a Base. Just from the pictures, looks like fairly minor rear end damage to total a $50k vehicle. Maybe the frame is bent?

It will be interesting to see how much this sells for. I am guessing something in the $30k+ range
No way is a vehicle totaled by an insurance company going to fetch 30k

A 2021 Bronco Sport totaled a couple of weeks ago on Black Bear Pass in Colorado. Big ball of metal. Engine even separated. Luckily no one killed. But ugly.

You can see the imprint of the frame at the license plate. The soft top is way buckled - Bronco got shorter.
It looks like a lot of the energy hit the tire, which pushed in the tailgate and the rest of the energy went into the left side frame. No way that is totaled. Value of Broncos is above MSRP at this point. Probably can't get replacement parts for it.

The top is unlocked from the tailgate, which males the windows look wrinkled.
