Or have you paid more for something else? Only consider purchase price, not modifications or restorations. Count the Bronco you‘ve ordered if you don’t have one yet. The Bronco will be our most expensive car, second place goes to a Mercedes Metris van.

First ever new car and roughly 5x the price spent on any previous car (prior to modifications)
Honestly if not for that, I’d probably be a lot calmer about the ice mountain holdup. But spending this much more on it than any prior purchase in my life has me more than a little irritable..

In 2020 it was the Hyundai Palisade at $50k, 0% for 48 months.

Now it will be the Ford Bronco at $60k I'm guessing when all said and done. Hoping by the time built and shipped there is a good financing plan available. Though technically, will be financing less than the Palisade because will be putting about $20k down.

Depends on whether you adjust for inflation...

Strictly by dollar amount, yes. Adjusting for inflation, no.

No. This damned military Humvee is just as expensive as owning a boat. Every time I take it out I’m afraid more shit is going to go out. It costs time, labor, finding parts, teaching myself how to maintain the vehicle. However it’s amazing and I’d never give it up. Cost less than 18k to buy but within 48 hours of owning it the injection pump failed. It’s been a lot like that ever since owning it two years ago.

Yes, strictly by dollar amount, for simplicity.

The last new vehicle I bought was in 2006. I am still driving it. It is a Honda Odyssey with 258k miles. I paid $25k plus TTL. I have bought two used cars since 2006 too which we still drive (2004 Honda Element 183k miles and 2009 Mazda Tribute 150k miles). We paid our house off last March and now we can afford to buy a Bronco. We ordered a

The price takes my breath away and I would not be surprised if the price goes up because it will be a pushed to a 23MY. I hate to think this because I had placed my order prior to the 22.5MY price increase.

Not even close to the most expensive but one of the most fun. Isn't fun the only real measure? Perhaps fun should be the denominator... $/smiles

$/smiles for me would easily be a $300 SHO 5MT. That car was great fun in my early 20s.

It’ll be the most expensive car I’ve bought, but not the most expensive MSRP on the window sticker. I bought an 08 Cayenne Turbo that had a $130k window sticker for $20k
