Don't used german cars require lots of $ to fix?
Yes. Yes they do. Also, new German cars require lots of money to fix as well. Speaking as someone who has hit his lifetime quota of BMWs (one). One can only handle so many check engine lights in a lifetime. Great fun, but SO MANY small problems. I guess I shouldn't speak about all German cars, but BMW, for one, just builds disposable cars.

Not if you're a YouTube Certified mechanic and the Extended Warranty. But yes, they're complicated to say the least. But if you do your research, watch that depreciation curve, stick to popular models and away from the more sporty/quirky ones, you're usually safe.

That being said, I'm still on the lookout for a clapped out 2015 Jaguar XF R-Sport to hoon around in! They're in the $15k to 18k range for a well sorted one and were over $80k new.

the last new vehicle i've purchased was my 2005 F150 Lariat, got it out the door for $33k. Bronco will be by far the most expensive new or used vehicle i've purchased.

No, not nearly as much money as I've spent on other cars. But, some people have other vices. Drugs, booze, ladies of the night :ROFLMAO:. My problem is expensive cars.

Depends. Parts can be pricey. I do a lot of my own wrenching on the not so complicated stuff. And, I buy my vehicles new, and I drive like an old man, and I'm a maintenance fanatic and clean car fanatic.

I wouldn't buy a used M3, unless it was owned by a guy like me. Too much risk that someone (or multiple someones) have run the piss out of it. On the other hand, a used Cayenne...owned by a distinguished older lady or gentleman, with a full service history, is probably fine.

Like most things in life, "it depends".

Yes, definitely. Nearly as much as all the rest total (unadjusted).

Except my 98 Silverado LT (not new), prolly had more fun already in my Bronco, tho. (y)

No. We traded in a 2020 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk that stickered at $59,795 for our ‘23 Outer Banks with high package. Got that at sticker of $48,950. And the dealer bought our Jeep for $37,000
