…and traded my 23 Badlands for a 23 VW GTI 40th Anniversary edition that was sitting on their used lot, showing a bit under 7,000 miles.

No complaints at all with the Bronco or Ford! I’m just a fickle bugger who craves variety.

Very happy with the trade allowance - my 23 Badlands non Squatch was $45k out the door from Stephens Auto Center, and I managed to get a trade allowance of $40k today, despite a small accident showing on my Carfax, from when my rig rolled down my driveway and hit a retaining wall.

It’s been fun! And trading in a heat wave means there was no 7MT rattle to be heard!

Apparently, they only released 1500 to the U.S., and only half that with manual transmissions.

Which I take to mean that VW recognized they’d be lucky to sell an average of 12 stick shift hot hatches per United state, given that no one really drives “cars” any more.

I was the oddball driving a 2 door Bronco with a 7MT, and now I’m continuing that fine tradition with yet another enthusiast toy.

I understand. I have a wandering eye for vehicles. I haven't had one last long enough to payoff the loan in about 20 years.

Four years is the longest. Some didn't even last to the first oil change.
