Ive had my bronco for 12 hours now... and its apparently I need sill protectors... suggestions?

gosh the sasquatch is taller than I realized to step into, the sill plate becomes the defacto step, and I dont want to destroy the paint.

I see a sill plate from fast intentions, film based, wraps over the edge, only costs $49. Like

or Ford aluminum/stainless sill plate, does not wrap over the edge, costs $110-140

I do like the idea of aluminum... but may show its own wear through the anodized finish, and I wonder if I might wish for something to wrap over the edge of the sill since the foot will hit that spot.

whats everyone else doing?

wife got me them this christmas. Easy to install, look great... can't really comment on durability just yet, as it's only been a few weeks, but seem pretty thick. And if they do rip, shred, they're cheap enough to replace.

If doing the painted part of the door sill, then just buy the color of your choice vinyl from Amazon for $10-$20 and wrap it yourself.

Someone in another thread recommended this Xpel tape. I installed for door sills, but also to cover the pinch welds.

I installed clear PPF in each door sill and then installed the Black Platinum Door Sill plates (https://accessories.ford.com/products/bronco-4dr-2021-black-platinum-door-sill-plates). The plates look great and the PPF provides broader coverage than the plates do.

This. I saw someone else post about this product on this forum, bought some from Amazon and put it on. Rock solid, grippy, does the job.

Since I have a 2 door I have some left over and have been thinking about covering the headlights. We’ll see.

I guess I’d describe it more like textured plastic feeling. Not smooth, but you’re not going to lose skin on it…it it’s not as rough as something like grip tape.
