It looks a lot tougher with the new ones. I love those rims and would have gone that route if I bought the non-squatch. Looks great!

Hahaha, IKR. I really wasn't interested in dropping a few grand on something I didn't need (reasonable side of my brain trying to convince myself) but seeing these for sale, I don't think the badlands optional wheels will be a common sight for sale, and other than the aftermarket wheels I had in my 4wp shopping cart.... these were the only other set I wanted. Also saved me 1500+ from buying the new ones, lol... so here I am. Hoping to sell my stockers for some recoupment.

Had fun on the trails with some local Bronco friends yesterday. Tested out the new tires through deep sand, mud and some obstacles. Still waiting to see some of the other's pics/vids but here is a few that I was given so far, and then some that I took of the group.

I have to hand it to the Rokblokz, kept the mud almost completely off the paint. I power washed tons of caked on mud underneath today but the body was quite clean.

Today I installed the AVS Lightsheild Pro. I have liked the look of the raptor lights but the OBX grill just doesn't work for it. This kills two birds with one stone, fun lights & maybe help protect the windsheild some. I like the look of this one a lot, doesn't give me uni-brow vibes like some of the other ones, lol.

Pretty happy with it. Only complaint is the light bar doesn't sit flush on the shield at the ends due to it being a stiff bar and unable to maintain the slight curve the shield has at the edges. Will see if it becomes a problem. Otherwise it looks great.

I also got Gear America "mega" blue d-ring shackles recently. Will likely order the Rough Country tow hook conversion kit, but was sort of waiting to see if anyone else comes out with some too.

I got some x-bull traction boards a few months ago, that I keep in the back too. JUST in case, lol. I figured these are the bare minimum.

Got bucked for the first time. Too cute!

AVS Lightshield update:

I opted to remove it and request a return/refund. AVS customer support is on the ball and was happy to do so. Very happy with my transaction with them. Certainly recommend the company in that regard. As for the product - it wasn't to my standards. Both the LED bar not sitting perfectly flush at the edges (due to being too stiff to bend to the contour of the shield/deflector) & the added wind reverberation with both my soft top and mesh shade when the top was back... was just too many "little" things I wasn't satisfied with to feel good about the purchase.

With it mounted, it added a notable amount of creaking/tapping from the soft top (probably just fine with a hard top).. and with the top back my Gearshade wanted to fly away. I absolutely would not have felt safe going over 60mph (which I do all the time topless normally) as I really think It would have snapped a bungee or taken off. It was flapping around all over. Might be fine if you don't run a mesh shade or maybe one without bungees, such as the J top - but normally my Gearshade is just fine and doesn't flap much at all so this was a significant difference.

The lightbar might work great for some but it just wasn't for me. I cant really recommend it for a soft top unless added noise doesn't bother you. I might have lived with it if the led bar was perfect, and the gear shade didnt try to take off, but it just kept gaining marks against it for me.

Again, AVS was a reputable pleasant customer service experience so I can at least recommend the company in that regard. I feel bad having negative things to say about the product just due to the manner in which they upheld their customer service.

Back to a naked nose and scouting alternative light up options.

Decided I wanted to dress up the OEM bumper a bit and make a more adaptable recovery point.. so I swapped out the OEM tow rings with the RC shackle conversion. Install went smoothly and the brackets seem well made.

Ordered the mega shackle isolators so I don't gouge these up upon usage, because lord knows it's bound to happen, lol.

Blu got a neat accessory today. It is an aluminum owner/build plate. It's a nice lil piece to have in the interior.
