Has anybody with the JCR Offroad Tailgate Table had an issue with the table surface not fitting inside the MOLLE casing? I got all the way to the end and it at best, the front of the lid just sat on top of the MOLLE casing.

Yeah, watch their youtube video. It's tight, I had to use a screwdriver to pry it in. Once you get it in though, it's a lot easier to remove and replace. Their video helped me, just be patient with it.

I do remember it being a pretty tight fit.

Same experience, pretty snug initially but can easily be taken on and off as needed. really handy when putting MOLLE accessories on the table

Just adding my voice here to confirm that its normal but yeah that initial install is tight. They did that so that its a perfect fit as too tight is way better than too loose.

Update: Never got a response back from JCR, so ended up hammering the edge of the table surface slightly inward with a 4lb soft mallet and was able to get a snug fit (no rattle).

I did have to do some minor cosmetic repairs (paint over some small chips). The install wasn’t a great experience, but it’s a solid product. Glad it’s done!

I had to grind a chamfer on the underside of all three the tabs to get them to slide in to the slots. I consider it a challenge to all human race to get them to fit otherwise.

I also think I’ll have to grind the slots where the nuts from the lanyards are supposed to fit. They hit on both sides.

the table is sturdy, but the design is too tight in too many spots

SERIOUSLY, the tabs of the table top dont fit in the slots AT ALL. Arent they supposed to a LITTLE? I cant get the table top installed at all. The paper instructions are a joke as well. Without the video the install would be impossible.

I am having the opposite issue and I am on my 2nd table after they sent me a new one in hopes of it fixing the issue. My table top falls right into place without any force needed. It's as if its too short in length. When I am tightening the bolts to secure the table top to the MOLLE panel, the table slowly slides out of the three slots as the tightening pulls the table in the opposite direction. The thing just rattles from the slots 100% of the time driving down the road. At this point, obviously, I have taken the table top off, but I am so disappointed in this 3 slot design and my choice to buy this junk. I really don't see how metal inserts on metal slots was part of their anti-rattle design strategy.
