Jeep dissing Bronco in Super Bowl ad

Ford did clapback kind of in my opinion. They let it be known that the whole design of the WW2 "jeep" the body and grill was a Ford design. The whole reason they have a Jeep grille was because of Ford. Its registered in the archives.

Bantam was the originator, and a lot of elements of their design was present in what Ford and Willys produced.

Am I the only one who didn't see this as a slight again Broncos? If you listened to the narration, Harrison said "Freedom to Inspire" as they passed the bronco. I took that to mean that Jeep inspired Ford to redesign the bronco as a Wrangler competitor. I liked the message!

Jeep put my lust top in that commercial. If Ford could only make the MOD top they promised on launch to all of us early takers. That was the only shade thrown. I still won’t give up my Bronco. I just want the top availability to improve. Jeep killed it with the Sky one touch. The advantage ends there for my particular use case.

It was all in good fun. Let the old geezer enjoy his 4xe Jeep. It makes him happy, even though his name is Ford. Was classic!

It shows that Jeep has felt a drop in sales since Bronco came back.

Bronco went to King of Hammers and Jeep got an old guy to make a Superbowl ad.

As a previous Jeep owner (3 in my lifetime) this was still funny....the Jeep guy waves to the Bronco driver....and using Harrison FORD with his final punch line was funny too.

I've owned Four Jeeps, starting with my 1979 Jeep 2 Door Cherokee, loved it, loved all four.
But, when I saw the new; reincarnation, of my neighbor's 1967 Ford Bronco, I wanted one.
I am no longer interested in owning and maintaining antique cars.
Took me a while to pull the trigger, but I purchase a new 2023 left over, (end of April 2024).
I am very happy with my Bronco Raptor, now a few miles away of 10,000 miles, yes more than a 1000 miles a month, I own a lot of cars, but this has become my go-to truck, can't resist it.
I did have some disappointing moments; the rattles and squeaks were maddening.
The B&O "upgraded" stereo system left a lot to be desired, the buzzing from the bass speaker was, well, maddening.
Took a while, and this post would be at least 4 times as long if I listed all the things I've done, and I would be blocked by most readers, but 90% of the squeaks and rattles are gone, and I spent a lot of time researching and replacing the components of the stereo system, sounds 90% better.
Plus, numerous other upgrades.
Now, it's a vehicle which is the envy of my friends and relatives, some of them with their own beloved Jeeps.
I'm getting arthritis in my thump from returning all of the; "Thumbs Up", gestures I get from other motorists and even people standing on the street.
So, and sorry this is so long, but this is America, you can do, think, say, own, almost anything you want, or can afford, so who cares about what is advertised on TV.
One of my brothers, sold his beloved, very customized Jeep, which was really, "Bad Ass", and purchased a 2023, 2 door, white Bronco Badlands, I think if he could, he'd marry it.
So; Good Luck to every Jeep owner, I love Jeeps and Good Luck to all my fellow Bronco owners.
I hope everyone's ownership experience is as pleasurable as mine has been.

I don't even care about that bit. He's just a big phony in my book - totally disrespectful to the material and his fans. He's just after a paycheck and he's pretty open about it. Probably doesn't even drive a Jeep. Probably sees it as beneath him.

Harrison Ford has been a Tesla owner. Don't know if hyping a Jeep EV has changed that.

Anyone catch the Harrison Ford Jeep ad? There was a shot of a Wrangler zooming by a Bronco as the driver smirked.

Ads are just ads. I just traded in my 2020 2 door Willys on a 2024 2D Heritage edition because the Jeep was literally falling apart. Two clutches, the auto start/stop battery kept failing and draining the main battery, there was a short in the audio they couldn't identify or fix, the passenger seat broke twice within the first year, and to top it all off: I went out to the Jeep after I'd signed the papers, hit the front driver seat latch to grab something from the back seat and the driver's seat fell apart. I know what some of you are thinking, I only weigh 180 lbs.
