Unless they use the 392

IMG_4990.jpeg
From what I understand, the 392 really just gets you a bigger engine, but not more capability - unless I’m mistaken.

Not really sure what the use case is for it.

Epic trolling. Well played on their part, gotta be honest.
Now if only their sales would pick up as fast as that passing shot…
The camera cut out right before the death wobble kicked in

That was remarking on the electric vs gas I thought but either way it was good. That’s how I understood it at least based on the clips of electric vehicles during the statement
Yeah, you’re right, I’m realizing I didn’t order my comment very well. That particular line was sequenced with the eJeep and regular jeep going different ways, but of course every line in that ad had both a specific, and broader meaning IMO. I was making more of a general observation that Jeep doesn’t seem to be trying to dis the Bronco, rather they are taking a “high road” approach that they have helped inspire other 4x4 competitors, and to choose what you like in life. I like the Bronco 🙂

Stop losing your minds over it. I thought the ad was a well done, and of course they favor their own product--it's THEIR f'ing ad, FFS. But I thought the small jab at Bronco was still tasteful and light-hearted. And stop whining about him passing the Bronco. I've seen how some of y'all drive, I'd pass you too.

Harrison Ford is the geezer that piloted his private plane for a landing on the wrong runway and a collision was narrowly avoided.

With the "BRONCO" letters on the grille nicely removed, as if that would keep anyone from knowing what the "other" vehicle was (at least for anyone who has at least passing interest in 4WD vehicles)
How many of you guys remember when the Bronco 1st came back... most people who got theirs came to post about people in the wild saying "Nice Jeep, is that new". And here Jeep removes the name Bronco... man this is going to confuse the Jeepers once again 🤣

Admission of weakness by FCA.

Coke never mentions Pepsi in their ads. If you‘re the king there’s no reason to acknowledge a competitor is taking up headspace.

But damn will Ford just release a one-touch top already?!
I was wondering if this classic comparison of Coke v. Pepsi would come up here. The market leader never needs to stoop in any way. There are so many Pepsi ads taking aim at Coke but can you think of one the other way around? There may be some, but I can't recall right now (especially as a Super Bowl ad). Ads are supposed to demonstrate knowledge of the audience and I think that part is right on. We are all abuzz about it! Stellantis is openly facing an existential crisis. It was a great ad even if on the nose. It only cost them the budget of a small movie to create and place that ad, so they are betting big here (as they cut from other classic marketing budgets for shows and fan events).

As someone has owned many Jeep and Ford products, it hit home for me. I have both a Bronco and a Jeep right now. I really wanted yet another 2-door Wrangler in manual but couldn't make it happen. *I came from the Jeep Gladiator forum, so my avatar is the same for now. I don't love my Jeep more than the Bronco...

Speaking of which, I'm also trying to quit the "Sophie's Choice" problem -- turns out I can have my Bronco and a Jeep. I admit it feels weird sometimes, especially since many think my Bronco is a Jeep! Ford clearly benchmarked the Wrangler, and it shows. My manual 2-door BL is exactly what I wanted, and Jeep couldn't get it quite right for me -- this time around, anyhow. The Bronco has new quirks, but I love it. Yes, the Bronco is better at speed and probably even overall, for me. Somehow, I still have a desire and room in my life for both.

Plenty of others have pointed it out, but competition improves the breed. We all win. I don't mind a little rivalry here at all.

BTW, the Wrangler top is way better than the MIC top on my Bronco! My Jeep is actually quieter too. I daily the Bronco but love the Jeep when I drive it too. They are different and I'm okay with that. :)

Thought the Jeep ad was great and the shade thrown almost as good as Kendrick did to Drake during halftime. :)

Not sure if the ad will win over anyone to Jeep, but it's more confirmation that Harrison Ford is awesome. Can't wait til the new season of 1923 starts! ha ha!

This 👆. “we won’t always agree on which way to go, but our differences can be our strength”. I thought it was a cool way to say the jeep inspired the Bronco design (true), and we’re all free to choose. Make your choice in life, and be happy with it. I liked the ad, and competition and choices are good for us all.
I liked the ad as well.

I really liked the military references and that the freedom that America enjoys does not come free.

I wasn't a fan of the ad.

Not to get political, but given Harrison Ford's well-known and often-stated political leanings, I found it rich that he's talking about waving and being nice to others given the last four or so years. Oh, so NOW you want all if us to be nice, eh, Harrison?

Would have been a much better ad IMHO (YMMV) if Jeep/Stellantis hadn't picked Ford (b/c his politics came along with him). But then again, J/S wouldn't have been able to use the punchline.

P.S. Former Jeep Wrangler Rubicon owner. Loved them! Would get one to go alongside my Bronco if I could feel reassured about Jeep's quality and future under Stellantis.

I just traded my Jeep in for a Bronco. The Bronco is better in every category.

Ford also gave me $2k off for owning a Jeep.

The Jeep folks at Stellantis are clearly feeling the heat.
Ford gave me $2k off for owning a Toyota.

Toyota is going to be feeling the heat soon enough over the new LC and 4Runner.
