Defender STRUGGLED on this holy cow. I have actually defended the Defender over the past few months because it’s stated numbers were actually pretty decent.

I take all that back. This thing is less off-road worthy than my 2005 explorer was.

And the old antiquated 4Runner was right there doing everything right with them. pretty sure that 4Runner would kick that Defender ass in every way possible. Well ok not on the tech side.

Watching the new defender made me cringe... but it got through! I guess that's all you can ask for. The old yellow defender seemed to handle everything with no issues. I love those things.

Its really hard to properly compare a well built up Jeep/4runner. The defender isnt aired down and is on less aggressive tires (and smaller too since it comes w/ 32's) Put the defender on the same tires and it can do any of that stuff. It has plenty of power and can lock the rear diff and center diff. If it cant get over something it is likely the drivers issue and not the vehicle that is lacking.

It’s lifted on 35’s and a rubicon so it breezes through.
Everytime I realize I'm not towing with my truck, I daydream about trading him in for a manual Gladiator

Glad it did great

The only the about the gladiator is adding a manual trashes the tow rating. Auto tow package is like 7500 manual is like 4K. So awful.

I never towed thus far, but I have used the bed. (nephew there, helped him with couches for his new place)

Shame a Taco regardless of Trans can tow the same amount

All the way up Red Cone and no video of the down, that's the whole fun of that trail.
