See, Jeep owners should be very happy with the existence of the Bronco.

I'm not sure why this is coming out as news today. Seen a few reports on new standard equipment. That was all announced in September or October. At least for the Gladiator I was cross shopping then.

I hadn't seen it before and saw 12/22 as the article date so I figured it was fresh. 🤷‍♂️

I've had the 8.4" UConnect, Alpine 9 speaker sound system and 20" wheels on our Jeep Grand Cherokee for the past 4 years! It was only a matter of time before it trickled over to the Wrangler!

The largest screen is still the same 8.4" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They're just getting rid of the 5" entry and the 7" upgrade is becoming standard. Except for the 2-door Sport, apparently.

It's had the 8.4" as an option since its debut four years ago.

I spent some time yesterday optioning up a Rubicon as much as I could stock to match up to my OBX SAS build. Final price was within $180 but the Rubicon still lacked sooooo much in terms of finishes, tires/wheels, tech, screen size, interior, and various other off-roading and comfort options that would have to be added after-market. Regardless of how you feel about the look of the Jeep vs Bronco, the value is light miles ahead with Bronco. And as far as driving experience? I’m a former Wrangler owner and current 4Runner owner and neither come close to the several Broncos I’ve spent time testing.

If I hadn't been researching I would have thought fresh news to. Just don't know why media started grabbing it months later

Did you compare Msrp to msrp? You can get a Wrangler for 4 percent under invoice vs a Bronco at msrp plus 0 to 25k adm...

I've had similar results but even worse. If I build up a Rubicon to be as close as possible to a Bronco, I'm at the same price but without the 35s. So tack on another 5K for a lift kit, tires, and possible gearing and now I'm over the price of the Bronco and I still don't have many of the features that Ford includes.

But of course all those features, at a cheaper price maybe some of the reasons why Broncos are being played with so many QC issues (especially the MIC)

Previously you're correct. You can get a Wrangler or even up to 7% under invoice. But right now most of those are lucky if you can get 1% under invoice.

So yeah, if you're comparing a Bronco at MSRP to an invoice deal of a Jeep, The Jeep will come out ahead but of course you're missing a lot of the Bronco features.

Even with a tread lightly membership, and going to a known dealer in California that normally did 7% under, I'm lucky if he'll do 2% under invoice right now. By time I add 35s and all the stuff that goes with it I'm well over the price of a Bronco and I still don't have all the features.

Yeah, nothing really earth shattering here. They already offer the 8.4, guess now it's just standard.....unless you don't want a/c.....
