How many people besides Ford employees have driven a Bronco, Zero. The Bronco has been carefully driven and marketed. There have been no Bronco failures,,,LOL. The Wrangler has been tested for years and every fault has come up. The faults of Bronco has not even started. Every part on the Wrangler has been built for years. Ford is building a new vehicle with parts with no history. Yes, I know the engine and trans has been in other vehicles but everything that puts them together has not. The Bronco may end up being better than Wrangler but it's just too early to say. Go ahead, roll the dice. I'll keep my JKUR, fully loaded and modded for a few more years.
well said on the bronco but not all problems have come up and been resolved with jeep. They continue having problems. We are having issues with our 2021 and it’s something new that has not been resolved yet. It’s how things go with vehicles, well except for my Toyota anyway. Lol On paper the bronco should steal a lot of Jeep owners and a few 4Runner owners. Only time will tell. Right now I like the look of the jeep better and it’s a 4 door!!

My friends with Jeeps all say their Jeep is their favorite vehicle of all they've ever owned.
Even the ones that have had reliability problems still say the Jeep is their favorite.
No matter how good the Bronco is, and it will be great, the Jeep is still a good vehicle too and will sell well.
I came from a 960whp TT Mustang for my daily and enjoy both my Jeeps far more. The resell value probably doesn't hurt either. Also, the Jeeps have less temptation to get in trouble

Jeep had a record Q1 for Wrangler and the Gladiator, selling 49.6K Wranglers and 18.8K Gladiators. I’m sure they’re going to have some sales loss, but calling them in trouble is a stretch.

Jeep will do fine. Lose some sales, because they have a competitor now. Be good for both brands likely. I like my jeep just fine, I think it is a good rig.

I think the Bronco will be more advanced and I am really excited, but Jeep will respond and improve theirs.

I had a jeep Sahara. It was a lot of fun... having said that, the Bronco looks way cooler. Until we get actual road tests though, its anybodies guess who's lunch will be eaten by whom.

Jeep was here way before the Bronco was ever born. Jeep continued after the Bronco was put out to pasture. Jeep is far from being in trouble and will be here. They are not going anywhere. I've had both and like both. A jeep rubicon has some of the best resale value of any vehicle on the market. They hold their value simple as that. Jeep seems far superior at getting their product available for the public to buy and enjoy. I have a bronco reservation but I am almost at the point of being over my bronco desires and starting to think it might be best to move aside. That Rubicon with the 392 is one bad machine.... then dang there is the Ram TRX that is one bad a$$ truck...:devilish::giggle:

To me, Jeep’s biggest problem is their engine choices. The 2.3 is better than the Jeep four cylinder turbo, and the 2.7 is even better. All three have more torque than the NA 3.6.

So other than the cave man Hemi, or the 4xE, it the diesel - all of which cost more - the motors don’t compete. Then there is Squatch - you have to buy a Rubicon to get front and rear lockers and a Dana 44 in front. You can put them on a base Bronco. That is easier to fix than the engine problem, just offer a package using the existing Rubicon content.

We’ll see how the Bronco really rides. I wasn’t impressed with the ride of the Bronco Sport - it was pretty stiff. It wasn’t noisy and doesn’t wander like a lifted Jeep on big tires, but that is something you get used too. When independent people drive and review Broncos in direct side by side comparisons with Jeep’s, we’ll know more about the disadvantages of the SFA in the adventure vehicle market.
You havent driven the 2.0 or you would not say that. I own both the Ranger and a Jeep JL with the 2.0 and the 2.0 blows away the 2.3. It isnt even close. The 2.0 has the etorque assist electric motor. So an electric, motor, a 2.0 and a turbo....You can put 35's and it doesnt even care.

You’re right - I left etorque out.

Of course , if Ford blows this (or their suppliers do for them) and most orders roll into 2022, I wonder how many sales they lose to Jeep.

Well, I have and it's not even close in most categories. That being said, Jeep will keep doing well, I liked my LJ and they have their place and benefits!

It seems like yesterday that Jeep and GM both said they were not concerned about Ford's announcing of the Bronco. Jeep figured all they had to do was sit back and bank on Ford screwing it up. Once it became clear that Ford thought this out pretty well, Jeep figured all they had to do is offer an expensive unicorn V-8 to offset the Bronco. I wonder what this will do to Jeep resale values, which have been ridiculously high.

Nothing wrong with a Wrangler to me, I would have rather gotten a used one of those rather than a new Bronco at some point in the next 1 to 9.2 years... but she likes her Fords and didn't like the jeep colors.

See also 4Runner...

Rubicon/Sasquatch... for the $$ I would rather have a base Power Wagon.

I have only ever had Ford trucks and everything in my driveway has had a blue oval for the last 16 years. I like what I like... and can't afford a PW.

This competition thing now will be good for everyone!
Jeep was getting fat and lazy before!
Now they have to awake again!
Might even get Chevies head out of their ass, on that Crossover- Blazer freakish thing!
