all hear say or whatever, but looked like he was still trying to make it up and gas it until the last 0.25 secs where he let off the gas and tried to counter steer with the front wheels in the air. at 15-16 secs you can see how the front was getting bouncy. he pushed it more at 18 secs to go higher up and the front rose up more and started tipping.

I’m new to all of this off road, rock crawling, but why do they call it Potato Salad Hill? The only thing that comes to mind is that things get tossed around up that hill?

There are many trails like this where the original meaning has long since been lost, either because the people responsible for naming have passed or they're keeping their secrets for other reasons. Some names are given to describe a feature of the trail or obstacle but trails can change from day to day, let alone year to year, and the namesake feature may not even exist anymore. Other names could be callbacks to the trip where the trail/obstacle was blazed or discovered, or to the person who discovered it. Examples, Jaxtrax is named after Jack Bickers, an old EJS/Moab alum. Mickeys Hot Tub is named after Dan Mick, Moab 4x4 legend.

Some names are just nonsensical. Area BFE uses band/artist names for a bunch of their trails. A few that come to mind are Greenday, Britney Spears, and Smashing Pumpkin. Apparently, they were in a musical mood the day they started naming?

Just like climbing routes! We have guide books that list the guy who got the first ascent (and who gets to name it) - anything like that for trails?

Always remember to keep your arms/legs inside if this ever happens to you and always wear your seatbelt off road.

A helmet is probably a good idea as well.

Think the hydraulic swaybar disconnect would have saved his bacon? I mean a squatched Bronco would have made that look easy, right?
even though it didn't look like it was disconnected. he had the rubicon which has them. the bronco would have done the same with the same driver. just because the bronco will ride down the road better then a jeep, doesn't mean it will out handle a jeep on the rocks. know the limitations to your vehicle.
