I also received same mail, I am choosing no action because I don’t think I will be satisfied with what I get after making the changes. And it’s an expensive purchase (for me).

What other alternatives do I have, if I get a refund then I will have to wait for order banks to open and put in a new order. And who knows if they would have these items like hard-top and lux in the offerings.

At least with my order still in the system I have some hope (however small) that if the constraints gets resolved then I might get the bronco I wanted.

Does anybody else here in the forum shares this opinion?
No, I am of the opinion that everyone should remove sasquatch / lux / hardtop (so I can get mine 😂 )

@Ford Motor Company ,
I received the latest email from Ford…
Here is / was my response

I did not order some exotic custom made vehicle.
I spec’d out a Bronco that you, Ford Motor Company, publicly offered. I have compromised significantly from how I originally spec’d a Bronco to be built… all because Ford is unable to deliver on what they originally offered.
I have been a life long Ford Motor Company customer and have purchased many new Ford vehicles.
I have driving age family.
I paid $100 (twice) to reserve the right to order two Broncos back when reservations opened back in July and August of 2020.
If Ford is unable to provide what they originally offered (and have continued to offer) then I will take my (and my family’s) business to an Automobile company that can deliver what they offer.
I have no desire to pay significant money for a production vehicle that is not configured/equipped to my liking. Once again I configured my orders based on what Ford advertised.
I did not spec or request a single special/custom feature that was not publicly offered by Ford.
The competence level of the world seems to have drastically declined in recent years and Ford seems to be leading the pack in this dubious category.
Maybe consider changing to the approach/principle of “Under Promise and Over Deliver “ … it likely will do a better job of building Brand Loyalty than your current business model

I would love to hear their response or lack there of.

I had changed my WT order back when the first mail came out. last week I came to my senses though and changed it back. Was glad dealer was able to get it back and that Ford hadn't locked them out from putting it back to WT with Lux/MIC/Tow. I may not get it, but at least if I do then it'll be what I want.

I’m an outer banks order with lux and MIC and I got the email.

I started looking on lots today (virtually) and found numerous dealer orders that are MIC LUX SAS. B ack in September we were told dealerships could only order basic models not the Wildtracks and lux Outer banks that I found everywhere today. (Virginia,West Virginia). I did manage to find 2 that were being sold at MSRP for the Presidents Day weekend. Unfortunately not my color and had $5k in options I didn’t want plus not PP. so I’m passing.
And these were ones with blue window stickers and not the green ones? When I was searching around for WTs I didn't see any blue window stickers with Lux, only high package. Many did have leather, MIC, and even tow, but none with Lux.

I m thinking gonna be A LOT of nothings for A LOT of us….. I was reading an article from a Tech CEO saying earning pressure because now they ve got chip supply but no demand. So coming on 3 years, chips not a problem apparently but Hardtops, SAS ( shocks, wheels, tires??) and Lux still issues?? What have they been doing?

Puzzles me and seems like a lot of dropping the ball 🤷‍♂️
Well Ford doesn't build the hardtops, shocks, wheels, or mold the tires. So, Ford is waiting on their suppliers to catch up. What are they supposed to do??????

If you have a manual transmission specced, keep your order as is. Ford already announced that they’re done building sticks until Q3.

OCNORB1974, shit can the vendors and find someone who can perform.. that’s the free enterprise/business way. A few months, a year maybe and if stuffs still screwed up why ruin your reputation and keep sticking with non-performers??

I’ll have to go back and look at the WT’s. I’m looking for an OBX so I didn’t view any of the WT window stickers. For the OBX, yes they’re blue window stickers with LUX MIC and SAS.

Are these emails only going to reservation holders or specific orders from specific dealers? I have a BL, MIC, SAS, Lux on order since 11/2021 and have not received either email. My salesman says he heard nothing about it regarding my order.
The notices likely went out to only reservation holders and those with price protection certificates. Ford wants to flush these out of the system so they can make significant changes in the lineup and make more profit.

I think it is mostly the lux package at this point holding up orders. A bunch of builds with SAS got scheduled at my dealer while people with wildtraks and lux didnt get selected. It could be a chip problem with all the options in the lux package or other options chosen. I know jeep wouldnt do the safety package for a while due to shortages as well. I think if you have a more complicated build odds are you will not get selected in 2023.

Will Ford switch to allocation only like Toyota? Nobody can do a custom order.
I think they underestimated SAS orders. Everybody wants those silver rings. And they also figured more people would be ordering soft tops. Never mind top issues, too many hard tops were ordered.

Just got this from Ford today.

I was on the fence between OBX & BL & the bigger tires, because there were mixed reviews on the SAS Tires. But, my originally build was the OBX 2DR with SAS. But when I got the letter. I took the deal, I went to BL 2DR non SAS.

Remember this truck can easy be change to how you want it to look..
I figured I can modify it later & let's face it, tire will be needed to be replaced. So I will go bigger than. But my first change will be the rims on my BL.
Because last night, on my way to the Hockey Game.. I saw Blue 2dr SAS & it looked awsome.. "Isles won btw beat the Pens came back"

But I get what you folks are saying. I happen to be a subcontractor for the other guys. You know who they are they rhymes with word "Creeps", and the Sales Manger there said to me the constraints was an issue for them, but they have over come them and They moving trucks..

So there is really no excuse in my opinion for Ford. I think if I would of hold my guns, I would of gotten my build sometime this year.. But I was wishy washy on my build anyway.

I am hoping to be build soon ..15 months not as long as some of you folks..

Good luck.

I wonder how many Broncos with my *exact* build were sold to dealers to be marked up. I see a class action lawsuit coming…don’t know if it will be successful but it will happen.
Good luck with that class action lawsuit.

A soft top I truly believe is more secure. You can’t get through the rear side windows due to all the soft top metal brackets. The rear window has a tire blocking it. Would be really awkward trying to climb up and through that little gap. More silent? Sure but would take a lot longer. Versus a smash and grab of the hard top rear window in and out within about 5 seconds.

Smash and grab on a soft top or hard top in 5 seconds. If they want your Bronco or its contents they will get it.
