Is there any opportunity to drive a 2.3L and more specifically a 7MT in Austin (or any of the roadeos)? Thanks.
No manual transmissions. Too many people did not know how to use the MT properly off-road and the result was apparently too many burned up clutches.

I drug bottom twice and hit one of the rock rails once. If it had been mine, I would have stopped and verified that there was no damage. I could also see that there could be owners who would not want to try some of the obstacles in their own Broncos, creating logistics problems for the “class”.
Did you get any stickers from the rodeo?

The Texas Off Roadeo sticker was $9.

The cost was something like $375 with Ford crediting back $250 a couple weeks after attending.

To take along a guest was $395 if I recall correctly.

I had my trip to Texas Bronco Off-Roadeo on October 1st. I had a blast! They hooked it up with Viva la Bronco hats! Great instructors and time behind the wheel.

I just returned from the Utah version. Fabulous trip!

Absolutely amazed at what the Bronco can do even without any of the aids being used. We went up and down stuff that I was looking at and saying "no way!".

Question , Do they let you get out of the car if you want to record the person driving going up and obstacle or do you have to stay in the car the whole time?
Also interested in this - hoping to have someone shoot some drone video of a line of Broncs traversing a trail.

The off-roadeo was one of Ford’s better ideas.
So glad we went, and kudos to Ford for offering it.
The Bronco is the only Ford I have ever owned.

Your passenger can certainly get out of the vehicle as you wish to record. I'm not sure what rules are about taking a drone, though.

I was in the first Bronco at the Texas Off-Roadeo a couple weeks ago. For one obstacle I parked and got out and took shots of everyone else.

I went to the last Texas Off-Roadeo of 2022 last Friday. What an incredible day. If anyone has ANY doubts about whether they should go … GO! (Or if not, give me your pass so I can go to another location!).

I had pretty high expectations going in, but they truly exceeded them. The experience was made even better by the fact that we had a really good group. 7 Broncos in our group, and all but three of them had 2 people in them. I ended up in the only non-Sas Bronco, but it was so fully capable of everything we did, other than bumping a couple of things due to the lower clearance. I have even more confidence in my Sasquatch Bronco now, after putting that one through the course.

Popeye was our guide, and we all thought he went above-and-beyond. All the staff was great (Hollywood, Ace, Hammer, and all of them) — you can tell they love their job, and why wouldn’t they?

I hope they decide to offer a second visit, even if they charge for it, bypassing the basics and learning even more.

So I just wanted to praise them here; hopefully their bosses and Ford see this — they deserve some love! Merry Christmas everyone.
