Quick backstory. I live no where near any of the advertised Bronco Off-Rodeo events (N.C.) and was disappointed they were not going to have one within reasonable driving distance. Up until now, only the Texas location was even open. However, earlier this year my wife and I planned a trip to Moab, Utah (actually flying into Vegas) for mid-August so I knew there was a slim chance the Moab (and Vegas) locations could open up by then. Low and behold, this week the announced they are opening both of those locations for the same week we will be there (opening Aug 16). Ironically, we are renting a Jeep Rubicon locally for the two days prior that is setup for rock crawling (also with 35" tires) so this will be a great way to compare a slightly modded Jeep to a Factory Bronco. Anyway, I just reserved a date at the Moab location for its second day of opening, August 17th. Looks to be an all day event too. Anyone going to be out that way around then?

I do have a question. I have a Badlands reserved/ordered but no build date yet. My dealer told me she hopes I make the Sept selection. Keeping fingers crossed. However, didn't Ford give us a voucher to cover some of the cost of the Off Rodeo event? When I reserved for the event, I had to pay in full and include my guests which was actually quite expensive. I plan on doing this anyway but I would like to know more about how I can get this voucher. It doesn't show any rewards on the Ford site either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Awesome that everything worked out. We drove from CA to Moab when the had the Dixie Off-Road expo, and were able to ride in the Bronco and drive the Bronco Sport. Pretty cool experience.

To answer your question: I called Ford yesterday in regards to the same thing. I was under the impression that we received a $250 for the delays. They directed me to the Off-Roadeo specialist. They said that we had to pay upfront, but we will eventually get the $250 and the $200 once we take ownership of the Bronco. Just keep track so you can call if it never shows up.

Thanks you too!

Yes I broke down and called Ford and they told me the same thing. I actually just got off the phone with the Off-Rodeo Event staff and they reiterated what you just stated. However, they did add that if I was to forward the email that Ford sent indicating we would receive the voucher it may speed up in applying it. They indicted they have one person on staff that all they do is research and apply said vouchers. They person is probably staying busy!

Anyway, I did just that and forwarded my Ford voucher email, with my Off Rodeo Event #. If it helps, I will let everyone know here.

Hopefully this helps others out that get confused with this process. I will say that it shouldn't be this hard, but oh well. This is minor compared to the other stuff we are having to wait for...

Following I just signed up for the New Hampshire Off Roadeo... I initially signed up my husband as a guest, but took him off when I had to pay up front... and I didn't know if he wanted to go. My son will be with us and he may not be able to come but figured I would add him later and just pay in "two" payments. I did see the refund for the $200 when you get ownership... My isn't until Oct so maybe there is a chance I will have the vehicle then... doubt it... but who knows!!!

I did add the insurance as I didn't know what I was doing... then realized I may not need it so went back to edit and took it off... I should get a refund... I will add it back if needed... but will wait. But it was easy enough to edit so I can always add a guest after the fact... at least I am going, and we got a good deal at the resort too. I picked a good week by luck and the oct weekend there are no local high school football games, and it will be fall in NH.

Please report back! My wife didn't seem to excited when I told her we were able to make the Moab event. I told her that all the guests are coming back pleasantly surprised. I am also bringing my "12 year old" daughter along. I personally think they will have a blast since it's not something they have probably thought of doing before and will likely be different then they are expecting.

I’m heading to Moab for the 10/30 event. Bringing my 3 college kids with me and my wife (hang at the lodge while we do the event). Never been to Moab and hoping to create a lifetime memory with my kids. Super excited. Does anyone that has gone to Off Roadeo know how you are assigned the Bronco? Is it by like model to your order, random, or some other way?

I just got back after my second day there and all I can say is its totally worth it! Its slow to start as you have "ground school" for about 2 hours, but after that its all worth it. The second day really picks up with much harder rock climbing.

I learned a ton not only about the Bronco itself, but potential changes I would like to make to my build after playing with so many different models in person.

I am in Ohio. The closest is New Hampshire but still a 12 hour drive. My butt doesn't like being in a car more than about 6 hours. I'm getting soft. Outside of Vegas make the most sense for me. Direct flights out of Cleveland and plenty of accomodations. Where would you fly into if heading to Moab? It's a pretty good drive from Vegas and may just suck it up and head to NH. I like the idea of Moab and think it might be worth it. Would Moab be so much better than NH or Vegas?

I'm from Ohio as well. Just booked for Moab. There is an airport in Moab that we are flying in too. We are flying from Cincinnati and there is a layover in Salt Lake City. Didn't feel like driving the 4 hours from there. It looks like the airport in Moab is about 20 minutes away.

Good question. We are also flying into Vegas. We were very lucky as we had planned a family trip to Moab and other parts of southern Utah during the same week the Moab location opened up. We already had made rental car (actually a truck) reservations in Vegas, and an Airbnb in Moab. Most of our trip was going to be in Moab with a few stops on the way there and the way back to Vegas. However, by signing up for the Moab Off-Rodeo event I gave up some of the sight seeing on the way back to Vegas.

To be honest, I would drive from Vegas to Moab even though its 5 hours or so (I can't recall). The reason I say that is depending on what roads you take, you could drive thru/by 4 or 5 IMHO the most beautiful National Parks/Wilderness Areas in the country. This will by my fourth time going to Utah via flying into Vegas.

Now, one other big idea that you haven't mentioned is the Vegas location. You do know that a Vegas location also opened up at the same time as the Moab one. If you don't want to drive far from the airport, you should probably check that option out and then have a few days in sin city....

BTW, if you find that rental cars are not available this summer or to expense in Vegas, try a full size pickup. That's what I did and it was less than an economy car. That was back in May though.

Both Delta and United partner with Skywest Airlines and do flights from Salt Lake and Denver (I think United might be Denver) to Moab (Canyonlands Airport). I'm flying from Florida with two friends and we decided to fly directly to Moab with Delta.

Mine came out on March 25th. I had to dig it out as well from all the other Bronco related emails.
