Anyone else getting a “key not detected” message sometimes when starting the engine? Never had a problem actually starting but still a bothersome issue. Key is usually in my right hand pants/shorts pocket so can’t be a proximity issue.

Thanks. Hadn’t seen that. Good to hear it’s a known issue.

I’m getting the same thing. Did you get it fixed and if so, how long did it take? It’s pretty annoying.

I returned the loaner that was having the issue two days ago and now have my Bronco and so far I haven’t experienced the key not detected issue I was having previously. I was also having a CarPlay/Spotify issue that is not present in my vehicle. Should be as simple as a software update I would imagine. Hopefully that’s all it is for you.

Yeah mine is doing that. Built July 1. Did it twice yesterday. I'll be reaching out my dealer to see what the fix is.

Finally got it fixed. It was a 20 minute software update.

Happened on my Mustang, key fob needed a new battery. Is that what's causing your issue I can't say 100% but worth a shot if you're troubleshooting.

Dealer told me to try that. New battery did not make a difference.

The bad part is the service department couldn’t find the memo. I had to reference Bronco6G so they could figure out how to fix it. Make sure you have “tsb 21-2251” ready when they start fumbling around.

I get that all the time in my Challenger. Make sure it's not in the same pocket as your phone.

(Shouldn't that be on the Wireless charger anyway?)

Also stock up on the button batteries - everything I have uses them now. Harley, Mazda, Dodge, Ford.

How did you do the software Update ? Do i have to go to the dealer ?
Yeah, the dealer did it pretty quickly. I can’t imagine that this is something the owner could do on their own.
