Here’s some more info if you want it. Screenshots from some @LEGEND posts.

He also measured 54” from rear gate to center console.
Cool. It seems that his measurements are all very similar to what I've got collected, so that helps to corroborate all the numbers.

The hatch to dashboard and glass are interesting figures and I'm adding those to my notes.

stupid question, why is there a hump?
It basically houses the hinge mechanisms for the seats.

People complained about there not being a level load floor with the seats folded flat, but the way to think about this is that ford dropped the rear cargo floor as low as they could to maximize space and usability for most people.

The down side is that there is a step up now to the back of the seats.

Up side is you can get the slide out tray on the 4 door and now it's totally level.

someone must know the exact measurement...
Yeah. Hence my comment earlier in the thread that this whole endeavor will be obsolete the second ford releases the specs or a demo unit shows up at a dealer and one of us can crawl around it.

Jamba Juice is just a cover right?
Why on earth would you say that?

I'd say that's got to be the ballpark measurement with maybe a 5-7% margin or error.

I mean, I wouldn't start cutting any wood... but I feel comfortable with that general number.

Anyone know where this came from?

Hadn't seen this answered yet (but maybe I missed it) - All of these numbers are on the Ford site here under "capacities". This chart shows up on a bunch of Ford dealer websites as well, so I assume it was part of a press release.

@mdepll

For everyone - to be crystal clear ~32" does NOT include the extra space above the hump behind the seats, which should add a few inches real-world. There seems to be a lot of confusion about that.

Here's my 2 cents. I went to KOH on Saturday to check out the Broncos. I didn't think to take a tape measure but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space in the back behind the rear seats. Here is a pic that I took . I would say there is enough space for at least 3 or 4 large suitcases and still have room.

Thanks for the measurements. Looks like I will be able to slide my dog kennel in without turning it and without the cargo slide. The kennel is about 31”!at the bottom and tapers out a few inches.

Deja Vu. Here’s a thread about the 2DR cargo from August. Might help. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah! I used your info when compiling my notes!

That’s why I credited you and linked to that thread in my first post!

All I did was make my own reference and decided to share it... I wanted to make sure to credit your hard work along with everyone else. I didn’t get to actually play any part in gathering the data.

Thanks!

;)
