Top back on. It's been in the 90's all week with heat indexes over 100 and I miss the A/C. Wiped all the seals good before putting the top on and gave it a good wash. Need to get the interior cleaned up, it has been dusty.

Installed a War Horse swing gate strut mount. Comes in raw stainless steel which I promptly painted with Dupli Color Metalcast Blue Anodize. I'm a sucker for blue anodize and love the Metalcast. It is basically a tinted clear coat to be applied over shiny metal, chrome, or a silver base coat. I didn't like the way the tailgate would swing open against the hinge hard stops, especially when parked on a slope. I have Oracle flush tail lights and nothing hanging on the tailgate so the gate could open all the way with no tail light contact, but that hard stop on the hinges made me cringe. Problem solved.

I installed the Flowmaster Flow X dual exhaust on mine, but I'm going to swap it out for a high clearance pipe. I thought I'd like the the dual tip look, but it hasn't grown on me...

I had to try duals. This MBRP moves the muffler from the OEM location to mid-pipe.

I got the MBRP Cat-Back Dual Exhaust installed along with a Ford Performance Rear Differential Cover. I painted the differential cover with blue anodize Metalcast. Since the Metalcast is basically a tinted clear coat there was no need to touch up the Ford Performance logo.
Filled her up with Valvoline Full Synthetic 75W-90 gear oil.

The MBRP Cat-Back Dual Exhaust was a fairly simple install. Installing on a 2 door requires cutting the mid-pipe to shorten it 15 3/4 inches. I must have measured that thing 2 dozen times before cutting.

My initial impression with this exhaust is very good and it has the sound I was looking for... louder than the OEM, but not too loud, it has a nice deep tone. I may have to get some black tips if the stainless tips don't grow on me.

Man... I am digging looking up under KRAKEN and not seeing that beer keg of a muffler.

Rethinking my aux back-up lights. Having the lights mounted under the bumper on either side of the tow hitch receiver results in a couple of problems: 1) The lights are so low that when backing up in tall grass or brush the light only illuminates the foreground vegetation. Mounting them on or inside the spare tire would shine light downward and light up further when in tall grass/brush. 2) They are basically useless when I have a hitch mounted cargo basket or my motorcycle carrier hooked up. The light shines right back into the carriers. I use a Harbor Freight motorcycle carrier to haul my electric bike.

I have removed the lights and may mount one or both on the spare, but will probably mount a couple smaller cube lights on the tire carrier behind the spare.
