This is the same dealer that tried to justify ADM on Gladiators because they said they were limited edition and would only be available for a short time. Bunch of idiots.
Not sure who you spoke to, but that makes no sense...sometimes we do have ADM (i.e. GT500) but Gladiator is mass produced and always planned that way...I would definitely like to know which one of my idiots told you that <- this is a joke #bunchofidiots...for real though, if you could DM me the name, I am curious and would like to correct future issues

Long time lurker, first post. Hello all.

I'm a July 14th res holder, early morning time frame.
Moved my reservation once, after talking to this dealership about xplan and no ADM, which they told me they would honor it plus a lifetime Powerplant warranty.

After transferring my reservation, they called and confirmed it transferred a month or so ago.

Yesterday I received the following email:

Hello,

Thank you for your Bronco reservation! We have updates from Ford: Deliveries of Bronco will be starting June of 2021…unfortunately, Bronco has over 190,000 reservations and Ford can only build a small percentage of those for the 2021 model year. We currently have over 50 reservations, but only given a small fraction of guaranteed allocation for 2021. The remaining reservations to orders will turn into 2022 models, no ETA as of today.

We need your order confirmation by 01/19/2021…

If you would like to convert your reservation to an order, please let us know ASAP…below are the current options that may delay your order, and free demand options that may get your order scheduled quicker:

Below are the current options that as of today may delay your order:
  1. 2.7L Ecoboost
  2. Sasquatch Package
  3. Wildtrak
  4. 2-door
  5. Lux Package
  6. Leather Seat Options
  7. Hard Top

Below is free demand as of today:
  1. Big Bend
  2. 4-door
  3. 2.3L
  4. Soft Top

To proceed with the order, we are taking $2500 non-refundable deposits…we are doing this to be fair, and trying to eliminate customers placing multiple orders at multiple dealerships across the country, a common practice in today’s environment…

What we will need from you:

  1. List of trim, colors, options for your Bronco order (you can build one on www.ford.com)…if you have any questions, we can email you an order guide…
  2. Front & back of your driver’s license

We will then email you a buyer’s order to sign, copy of order receipt from Ford, and the information for the $2500 non-refundable deposit options…

If you have any questions, please feel free to reply….we are very excited for your new Bronco!

Bronco Specialist Team

Now, I don't mind putting a deposit down. But for it to be Non-refundable is asinine.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I replied asking before I go through with a deposit that they confirm price and xplan. They said they couldn't honor it, then I asked about the Ford appreciation Certificate for $2000 off that Ford gave me when I called to change dealerships. They promptly replied with they are not accepting that either.

I'm not giving 2500 to find out in March when they change the build and price again that my features go up in price or other features are available that would change my order. Or, I have a life event that prevents me from finalizing the purchase, and they take my money and sell my order off the lot with markup.

UPDATE: 01/21/2021

I may have jumped the gun a bit and raised my blood pressure more than I should have after their initial email as posted above. I was able to have a good conversation with their manager last night and again this afternoon, and we were able to reach a mutual agreement. I appreciate that he was upfront and honest, explaining what information Ford has provided and he was appreciative that I brought to light some of the other information that was provided on this site to further their knowledge.

In the end, I am sticking with Chapman of Lancaster due to their customer service, as I have previously stated, they were great to work with before on a previous purchase but I was taken back when I read their email for the reservation conversion, however, after speaking with them today I know I will continue to receive quality service. I really appreciate their Engine For Life program, and their reassurances provided to me that I will be satisfied with the vehicle upon delivery.

There was no question whether or not I was purchasing a new Bronco, it was just about where/from who I was purchasing it. I believe I will be happy with my choice, and I will let you know once I go in and finalize my order. The true testament will be in the next couple of days when I put my order in with them in person.

They problem I have is with this is "We need your order confirmation by 01/19/2021…" when Ford clearly has stated over and over and over that we have until March to convert our reservation to orders. The dealerships are being assholes and Ford really needs to step in.

I've already posted about by experience yesterday where the dealership called me and told me that if I didn't come in for an appointment at 3:30 to convert my reservation to an order my reservation would be canceled.

I could understand a non-refundable deposit on a vehicle that is special order one-off and hard to justify because it's not going to be easy to sell. (I.E. Green F250 reg cab with odd options). Not something that is a guaranteed sale regardless.

The 1/19/2021 comment was poor wording in their email and we clarified that up with a phone call. They did not force the issue or try to use some crazy sales technique to get me in. Matter of fact, they even recommended if I wasn't sure it was ok to think about it because the deadline was March 19th.

I hope you get to have a better experience going forward with your dealer or find one that you can work with.

It was a year and a half ago. It was one of your internet sales people. A woman. That's all I can give you. She tried to make it out like the Gladiator was a limited run vehicle. When I tried to explain to her that it was a mass produced vehicle that would be readily available she wanted to argue with me and tell me I didn't know what I was talking about. Thanks for your time. Click.

No offense but I won't waste my time. I bought a new F-150 from your dealer in 2017. Was looking to trade it last year for a Grand Cherokee and you guys totally low balled me on my trade. Like $4k less than any other dealer. Figured you would appreciate a repeat customer and try to make them a good deal. I was wrong. Four hour round trip and a day wasted.

I thought about contacting them. My concern was, from looking on Google maps, they look like a really small dealer. So allocations is a concern. (without all the detail I'm one of those that need a car sooner vs later)
That is a very legitimate concern. Contact them and ask what their projected allocation is. They know already.
