Last date a 2021 will be delivered

Well, searched and didn’t really find an answer.... does anybody know the last date or month that a 2021 will be delivered before it’s called a 2022 based on past experiences, will all 2021 be delivered this year? Is the cutoff for example November for 2021 and anything after that considered 2022? Will any 2021’s actually be delivered in 2022? Typically aren’t the year listed
For the vehicle sold the last half of the previous year, say 1985 models were sold the last qtr of 1984?

IIRC the cutoff date for manufacturing 2021 MY is early December, so delivery would be within a few weeks of that.

I think its a safe bet that there will be some 21's delivered Jan 22. Depends on cutoff date, but if they run through Christmas shutdown, there will be a lot, if they end 21's first week of Dec, there will just be a few.

But even if they start 22's on December 8th, there will still be some 21's that don't arrive until January, there will be some quality holds, some that have delayed shipping, etc, happens every year. It will be the exception, not the rule, but there will be some. Also things seem to really slow down last 2 weeks of December and 1st week of January, shipping just always seems to take much longer.

Production on MY21 will end in December, probab mid, for the MY change over. I'd expect people will still be taking delivery of MY21 in January of 22 but probably not beyond that

Man things have gotten backwards.

You walk into a store in July and they have Holiday Decorations up, bit you car gets build in the 3rd quarter of the year and they still call it last year's models.

I thought the "rule" was around oct, the next model years started. Both my new cars I took possesion in about November for the Model Year we hadn't reached yet (aka got my 2018 in Nov of 2017)

Order date is pretty much irrelevant with that reservation date.
To answer the question though; no one in their right mind.

Earlier than that. I purchased my 2015 Grand Cherokee in August 2014.

The last new car I bought was a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT that was delivered to me in April of 2001 (yes, 2001). It was the first year of the redesign for that generation. It gave up the ghost at the end of August this year — 20 years and 4 months. I am still waiting for my 2021 2-dr Bronco OBX, AMB, LUX & TOW. Sat at Dirt Mountain from 08-06 waiting for MIC roof 2.0 until it shipped 11-20, arriving at the dealer around 12-03. Delivery is forecast between 12-28 and 01-03-22.
