The Bronco Boys headed out for one last ride in 2024. We headed up north of Washougal River Road. Took a wrong turn somewhere and headed up a trail that was “bumpy”. The belly pans got some lovin’ and we almost got to the end of the trail when the obstacles got insurmountable. It probably would have taken a custom buggy to get through. So we turned around and had just as much fun going back. From there we made it back to Washougal River Road and went to the end. With the recent rains all the rivers and creeks were roaring. It also meant some spectacular waterfalls! We end up in Stevenson and then to Carson for a great dinner at Backwoods Brewing. Highly recommend… well, all of it.

This was a fun trip, and the lockerless 3.73 Big Bend continues to surprise me. I expect I'll be a lot less stressed out next time we do something like that interesting section. Great spotting from you and @WillRCTID!

The OEM step brackets are pretty damn tough. I expected the middle bracket to be more beat-up than it was afterward. Hopefully won't be too much longer before I get a new job and can dig into a modest lift and skid plates, maybe also some step sliders.

I'm not sure I even used my lockers. I think a little more ground clearance and you would have been perfect.

Yeah. That's why I keep thinking the suspension upgrade's going to be the first 'real' mod. I think everyone in our group has at least an inch more clearance than I do.

Inch of suspension and inch of tire. You just have to pick which inch you do first.

It'll be suspension first unless I have to replace the tires earlier than I expect to.
