Well there's a total difference of perspective right? They're trying to deliver fixes and new features automatically rather than you having to visit a dealer or sit in a hot car with a USB drive for two hours as it used to be.It is my opinion that I don't actually need the update that they wanted me to do to mine. It works fine as it was delivered from the factory. Why would I want to change anything?
Now, there certainly is some logic in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". If you like every single thing the way it is, then turn updates off. My rig has never gotten an update pushed with the feature disabled so if toggling a button is beyond folks, maybe its deserved?
Then again, when the next version of iOS or Android comes out and totally breaks your Sync4 integration and your only course of action is to take your 4 year out of date and out of warranty Bronco to a dealer so it can sit for 20 hours while some poor tech babysits the computer applying update after update that just might suck. Not sure you can have it both ways. If you didn't want a car with technology, go buy a classic?
