I haven't heard anything about a lease option, and called Ford's marketing team and the were unable to provide me with residual and money factor. Has anyone heard anything from their dealers? The bronco Sport numbers aren't the most appealing

I actually just had a conversation with my dealer about lease options (I will finance mine, but will probably lease the wife's). He told me they don't have any information on this yet and that they wont have that info until the Broncos start hitting the lots for us to work out the deals.

On a side note, he also said that Ford has provided the dealership with little information in general about the Bronco's regarding final price, leases options, accessories, etc.

As a Bronco Specialist for a dealer, I 100% agree. If I based my knowledge off of just what Ford sent out in bulletins the average user of broncog6 would know way more than me.

That is sad and disappointing. I mean, its not going to make me stop wanting a Bronco, and I am not cancelling my reservation, but it is very disappointing that Ford is treating their dealerships this way. All this does is frustrate them and frustrate the buyers. It also leads to a lack of faith in in Ford and the dealership for the buyers, even though its not the dealerships fault.

Honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to do if I go to the dealership to place my order and they dont have residual numbers for a lease. I'm basing my final order based on the residual value of each respective model to keep my monthly payment under a certain mark.

Jeep wranglers will lease at 36 month and 12k miles per year at 70% for the sport, 65% for the sahara, and 62% for the rubicon.

Will it be similar for the bronco where the highest residual will be for the base/big bend and lowest for the wildtrek/badlands? Higher or lower for 2 door vs 4 door? I need to know these things before I make a decision.

A lease v. buy for me is literally the difference between a fully loaded 4 door obx (non squatch) or a 2 door base with maybe a sasquatch package.

My situation to the T and I would bet for many others as well. I lease, always have. I'd rather rent a car for a few years, give it back, and get a new one. Never have to deal with any issues that way.

The challenge is just as you've stated. How can I place an order within the given ordering window without any idea what that particular build will lease for? I certainly can't wait until Broncos start hitting the lots as that will be long past the March order deadline.

I've done the same as you, by comparing residuals to jeeps along with current MF to get a ballpark idea. But the slightest difference in either of those factors could derail the entire purchase. Because at that point, I won't be able to modify the build to make it hit my price range.

I can see situations like this resulting in abandoned orders that will turn into inventory on dealer lots. And that is going to upset a lot of folks that may still be waiting for their build.

I really hope some clarity comes quickly.

I am exactly in the same predicament! How can we go in and order our Bronco not knowing what the monthly payment is going to be? Ford needs to step up and provide this info otherwise many will walk

Just saw this in another thread of FAQ from a dealer:
  • When will Lease rates and residuals be available?
  • Rates will be available next Tuesday when order bank opens.
Now that sounds better.

My dealer confirmed this on Saturday as well. I like the lease option, I have subsequently bought a couple and turned a couple in. If I don’t like the vehicle or something comes out I want more, I turn it in. My wife’s last Explorer was solid and the residual was well below market, so we bought it. Haven’t decided on the Bronco yet. The biggest “extra” expense I incur leasing is wear care. I think it is $750 for the lease, but it eliminates the anxiety of having small dents, scratches or interior wear to deal with when I turn it back in. To me, it’s worth the trade off, just be aware of the different pluses and minuses of your choices and you can sleep well with whatever decisions you make!
