Yes, we designed a new baseplate that will correct this. Because this requires a mold it will take a while to produce but we provide to you (and anyone else with this issue) at no charge.

I want to second this. Its been a really frustrating wait. I’d really like to have this fixed so the appearance stops bothering me. The unit works great, I really do love it, but it’s been so long now.
