Anyone else hace an issue with snow building up on the headlights? The LEDs don't seem to heat up the housing enough to melt the snow off.

The was not any snow on my Diode Dynamic SS3 fog lights mounted in my bumper.

Headlights and all of the sensors on the front. I’m going to try Rainx to see if it helps.

With heated side mirrors nowadays, I’m surprised LED headlights aren’t heated too.

A quick Google search suggested silicone spray or even non-stick cooking spray. Interesting…

Lot of cooking sprays use butane, wouldn't want that near my paint.

I’ve had the same issue on my ‘17 f150 since I got it.

The tech is out there, some snowplows have heating elements for this exact reason. I don't understand how auto manufacturers don't see this as an important issue.

I use TW ICE on all my vehicles, and every surface - windows, lights, plastic, paint. I would go that route before rain-x or cooking spray. My simple method is wash - rinse - spray with ice - dry. The only issues are that it can be a bit smeary and also could make your wipers clatter from a lack of friction on the windshield.

As for snow on LEDs, this is a big issue with Jeeps with LEDs as the light is sunken in the grill. They actually make heated aftermarket LED Lamps for newer Wranglers to combat this. I suspect we'll see some heated options in the next year or so.

And, since I don't have a bronco yet, can someone confirm that the high beams are also LED? If they are halogen, like many xenons (including my Pacifica with xenon low beam and halogen high beam), then I would just run the high beams as much as possible in the snow to heat them up ;)

Aero Cosmetics Wash Wax All is another product fine for plastic.
It beads water very well.

When I first put led taillights on my bronco, i discovered this very issue after some interesting weather. Thankfully it doesn't happen too often... but headlights are pretty important and it's a shame ford didn't see fit to include some counter-measures.

If anyone at Ford ever reads this, heated wipers would be a cool feature too.

I too live in snow country and I am curious, did the Rainx help?
