does anyone find the name Warthog stupid???? My goodness the truck is a BRONCO a name of a type of horse...and the upgraded name is after a PIG???? This is just dumb..plain dumb..

No less stupid than "Raptor" for a trophy truck version of a pickup truck.

It's either a bird or dinosaur after all. Lol.

Go test drive a F 150 and then a Raptor. You should get the point of a Warthog after that test drive.

As may have been pointed out in this thread, or at least in other threads, the Warthog is designed to dominate the stock class at KOH.

Hopefully a decent chunk of the suspension components are bolt on... I don’t need more power than the 2.7 but a warthog long arm kit would be pretty sweet.

Imagine thinking a 400hp/400tq engine isn't enough.

The raptor weighs 500-800lbs more and it has 450hp. I understand fiat is throwing 700hp into every vehicle but that's because that's all their company has to offer.

What are you referencing that has 400hp?

When it comes to a vehicle built for the purpose of running at high speeds isnt more hp better? My neighbor just bought a 2021 BMW X5M that has 600hp. Definitely overkill, but sounds like a lot of fun.

you can tune the 2.7 well beyond 400hp making the aviator engine a worthless "upgrade"

the horsepower isnt the issue here. The issue is the displacement , torque , and balls of the vehicle.

Why spend 65-70k on a vehicle with no balls?

Probably should look at the torque curve between a 2.7 Ecoboost and say a 5.0. There is a reason the Raptor went to an ecoboost from the 6.2 and it wasn't cause they wanted to remove the "balls". The extra power at over 4k doesn't make up for the torque improvements down low for the Ecoboosts. Plus, you can tune the 3.5, 2.7, 2.3 or 3.0 to provide a large improvement for just 5 Benjis or so.

If I am not mistaken, Ford's most powerful automobile engine is the one in the Ford GT supercar, which is not an 8 but rather a finely tuned 3.5 6 cylinder. Until a Warthog is actually manufactured, no one knows how prestigious and formidable it might be. Selling it short at this point without any idea whatsoever about its potential as envisioned by Ford is premature.

I'm speculating that the warthog will come with the 400/400 3.0tt.

That x5m is over $100k. It does sound fun though, under warranty.
