How does it drive with the canoe? We just got roof racks for our canoe but have not tossed it up there yet. Are the straps to the trail sights just for safety or did it shimmy in the wind?

I figure it has to be loud.
It drives great. Once I got the straps figured out it didn’t budge. I have the three straps you can see, then 1 more attaching the rear cross bar to the center bar in my canoe. Loudest noise was the strap ends slapping the roof.
I even took it down a bumpy dirt road. It’s good to go!
FYI it’s a 17’ canoe
