hopefully the link worked, yes but I think I’ll just get the master towing set up to get that 360 view too.
What state are you in?

I’ve seen those types of discounts advertised.. As a matter of fact, local GM dealer I was at Saturday has $10,000 off going on right now for any 2019 2500HD on the lot.
The problem here is, the 2020 Super Duty is brand new and pretty hot this early in the year.

My target lately has been MSRP OTD. About 9 months ago when the new KTM 690 SMC-R came out it has a msrp of $12,699 plus like $330 for the freight fee. Got it for $12,000 even otd.. thought I did really good with that one but nobody really knows. Not even the sales person most of the time.

I think the only person who really knows cost at any dealership is probably a branch manager, fleet manager or the owner and I doubt any of them tell the hired help or the commission based sales force how much they pay for something.
I figure there probably somewhere around 30% margin on pretty much everything from full list. You don’t buy prime acreage in prime right off the freeway locations with fancy buildings with marble tile flooring, a $4,000 dollar espresso machine and a half a million dollars worth of asphalt if your already losing money by giving me only a few hundred bucks off.

I figure If I can get 10-15% off for myself in savings off of a already over priced high ticket item I’m happy and they also made a few bucks on the deal too. Something like 15-20% profit.

Something else I’ve learned. When you walk into a dealer as Joe Shmo as I have most of my life, you get the worst Most inexperienced, unknowledgeable and disrespectful sales people. I have put up with some real clueless ass holes just to get my vehicle bought.

Now that I’m a small business owner with an established business, the minute I walk in to a dealer and claim that I’m shopping for a fleet vehicle, I am ushered directly to a fleet specialist and treated night and day differently by a real knowledgeable professional without the lies and hi pressure BS. Instead of ME saying that msrp seems high, it’s THEM saying don’t worry about that msrp, we have special fleet pricing for business owners like you.. It’s quite surprising really.
It makes me feel bad for all the poor saps getting worked over in the dealership showroom “as I get walked to some quiet back room to talk man to man about the purchase.
I definitely hate the “let me go ask my manager but before I do you need to sign this paper because I only have my weebelos badge and Im not qualified to communicate with managers verbally yet.
Next thing that happens Is they bring “the closer” back to turn up the heat some more by playing good cop bad cop.
“The closer is usually some fast talking greesy haired huckster deal ninja who wears a necklace.
My wife had this saying, never trust a man who wears more than zero necklaces.

She has since retracted that saying. Her dad took us out to dinner a while back and since we last saw him he grew a pony tail and stared wearing a gold chain necklace Imagine Willie Nelson and you kinda get the picture.

"The early bird gets the worm". That used to be true - but no longer. It used to be when you were the first to pioneer a business, you owned the market - but no longer.

This week Tesla's market cap reached $88 billion. GM’s market cap is $50 billion and Ford’s is $37 billion. However Ford’s sales this year are estimated at $144 billion, GM’s are estimated at $138 billion and Tesla’s are estimated at $24 billion.

Is the go-to-market strategy BroncoBuyer describes part of the reason?

Gah this little snippet reminded me of when I was in sales and my dealer group had us do go through some training from Grant Cardone. Haha

Hoping we get some good, rugged, flares on the aftermarket pretty quick. Should be and easy way to customize your bronco.
