So, the Bronco looks amazing and it appears the designers emphasized ease of adding/removing accessories. However, I want to know what really matters....

1. Is the oil filter in easy accessible location for replacement?
2. Do I have to take the whole top end apart to replace the spark plugs?
3. Are the brake pads easy to replace or do I need some stupid special metric tool?
4. How about changing that serpentine belt? Is the tensioner easy to get at?
5. Is the waterpump easy to get at?
6. Can I access the battery terminals to jump start a friend?

I think all of those things are super easy...I drop it off around 7:30 and pick it up at 5...I barely even get my hands greasy...: )

I am a total DIY guy, doing my own maintenance on crusty rusty piles of Fords that flipped the odometer 2 or 3 times and still go & pass inspection. My 2018 Fusion broke my back so to speak. I love that little car, but things changed and it is all dealer service on it as I don't have a lift. Best that I can do on the Fusion is cabin air filter, engine air filter, wiper blades, and screen wash fluid refills. Mom has a 2020 Escape and I think I can care for that about 80%, The days of an owner doing all their own vehicle service are over.

Yes, everyone that has changed all those things on their new Broncos have confirmed that it’s even easier than removing the M61A1 out of an F-18.
Sounds like an interesting story, hoping you can/will share.

As long as the battery is easy to get to so I can replace it when needed, I'm good. I'm confident the service dept. can handle the rest. And if the battery is hidden under the mountain of tubes and metal that we've seen, then I'm confident the service department can change my battery as well.

Not really all that interesting. They’re just a lot easier to remove in an F-18 than it was in an F-14.
Everything was easier on a Hornet. Coming from an Intruder guy.

Hopefully they don't have the battery location similar to the Escape. That thing requires removing part of the cowl up by the windshield.

For oil changes, the 2.3 should be the same as the Ranger and the 2.7 should be the same as the F-150.

I'd like to be a wise ass like everyone else, but decided not to be for one.

1. If similar to F150 it doesn't look too bad, similar to Ranger more of a pain but doable.
2. Most likely
3. Brake pads I've always felt are pretty simple. Sure you will need metric, because you know... Europeans ?
4. In the last 20 years ever known a serpentine belt to be all that simple?
5. Unless it's a Mustang, they never seem to be.
6. Can't see why it wouldn't be. Except for the post above mine that said it is on an Escape.

And if I may add to these questions (before I actually Google it). Does this little V6 have a timing belt? or better yet a timing chain? Hoping for a chain!!! And off to Google I go.

Edit: Seems from what I'm seeing online.. it's a chain.... thank god!!!!

I get it. (y) I just have never been that good at it, maybe it is a lack of patience thing. I rig stunts for a living, if you want a zip line, to jump of a building , action fight or do a chase scene, I am your guy. When it comes to cars, I'll let those who are better at it than me keep it right.
