1 day of ownership and my shop was able to squeeze me in to get the new wheels and tires on my OBX non-Sasquatch. I bought these Sasquatch take-off wheels locally and had the trim rings powder coated. I'll be putting a lift/leveling kit in soon, we are still deciding exactly which one. It took them only 15 minutes to get the crash bars out on the fronts and get the wheels on. These Falken's are much quieter on the highway than I expected, not much different than the stock tires.

I went with the Sasquatch stock 315/70/17 tire size and I'm happy with the little bit of poke but I definitely need at least a 1.5" lift.

Dropped off my rings yesterday locally to get them powder coated carbonized gray. Had to bring in my bronco as they wanted to match the color perfect.

hopefully ready by Friday, 30 bucks a ring. It was a pain to take them off but excited for the results.

I dont have Sas wheels, but given the opportunity for a new color I might suggest Cerakote. Even a heavy coat is WAY thinner. This can prevent compression chipping when bolting the ring back on. Made for firearms, which have tighter tolerances than regular car parts, Cerakote has come way beyond its standard black. I inherited my Dad's Browning T-bolt, back in the 60s the stocks were cured in salt, which later caused corrosion to the metal parts. Cerakote was cheaper and better looking to oreserve the original parts. And should hold up better to regular abu.. Use!

I think this is a great idea. I found a Cerakote authorized applicator in my area and called. Just $40 per bead lock ring (against $85 powder coating at a local shop) if I go with a simple color (e.g. silver...he said if I want to paint match Hot Pepper Red, it'd be more for the time experimenting...just like the powder coater said about 2-stage colors). Definitely going this way! Also gonna do the D rings and recovery loops. Should really make the wheels pop. https://www.cerakote.com/find-applicator

Those are the caps it came with. I just painted them. I air brushed them a candy red. High lights the silver color and not the black.

Dumb question but can you remove the beauty rings and drive without them on? I want to go the powder coat route but would need to leave the rings for a week or so and don't have anything else to drive.

Did you buy black bolts? Have them powdercoated? I want to get my Badlands silver rings done but not sure what to do with silver bolts.

Yes you can. They donā€™t do anything but protect the actual bead lock holes for the real headlock rings. They were first said to be helper rings but they didnā€™t help. Then they were reworded to beauty rings.

My Bolts were already black. Had to go back and look at the pic from when it was delivered and they are black.
