I like uniqueness, but also like to show loyalty. Since day 1 I've liked the idea of putting 2001 style rims on a Bronco. I got a slot 3 hours in on day 1 for an Outer Banks model. I had plans to put 2001 style Lightning rims on. Looking at the data for backspacing and offset they should work just fine. Has anyone else had a similar thought. Anything I'm missing that would make this plan not work?
I understand the OB model dimensions to be 18", 0 offset and 4.75 Backspacing.
Dimensions on the lightning rims are 18", +14 offset, 5.8 Backspacing.

I would be concerned about that offset on a turn catching the outside of your fender.

Not sure about the numbers, but if the bolt pattern doesn’t match...

You'll have the wrong number of lugs.

And it would tuck the tire and wheel under the fenders a little over a half inch more. Most people want them outboard a little more.... Oops just saw the bolt pattern response....mooooooit!!

Lightning wheels are a 5x135 pattern. Bronco 6x139.7. Lightning wheels are 18x9.5 and I think a +14mm offset. Aside from being the ugliest of the Lightning wheels it is just not worth the effort or cost.
