Ok, got the best pics I could manage of the mounting points 😬

Sorry for the late response, we all got covid this week

But sounds like you already ordered the tent and this wasn’t a make or break issue for you. Congrats on your new tent!

He gets to sleep in the car while we sleep in the RTT. Definitely no way I’m lugging him up the ladder 😂. But we have a situation where my son and husband sleep in the RTT and we also have the deep sleep mattresses for the back where doggo and I can sleep. Perfect sleeping situation for the four of us
Sounds like a great setup. Excellent time with the family. Memories in the making for sure. Enjoy.

About 10 inches:

Sorry, not the greatest pic as I was precariously perchedon my bumper
Thank you. And yeah, don't kill yourself over it :)

I think I only have 9" of clearance to my garage roof, But in those awesome pictures you took, I noticed the entire tent is supported on 80/20….that comes in different sizes so It has my brain thinking.

Broaddict on Amazon sells a single bar for their and the oem rack. I got for $66.75 on a sale. Right now it's $89.00 with a 5% off coupon.

If you're ever heading east, let me know and we can meet up and do a compare against my SuperLite.

While it isn't pretty to see me do it, I can get the Superlite on the vehicle by myself (I'm only 150lbs).

Thanks for the link for the crossbar! Gotta save money where I can, apparently off-roading is an expensive hobby……..

honestly I do prefer the look of the GFC super light, looks great on your rig. But I’ve been happy with my RTT so shan’t do too much complaining. Always happy to meet up to compare!

Where is the best place to snag one of these price wise?

I think it would do ok in a light rain but I wouldn’t take it out in a downpour, it was sprinkling overnight when we had it out, even without the rain fly we stayed dry.

As for fitting on the two door, I think the pics I’ve seen of the superlite fit well on the two door and I would guess this about the same size so I think it could work

Finally tested it on my 2 door. Same thoughts on the rainflies.

It looks like Inspired's ladder mounting is leaps and bounds better than the Superlite:

looks awesome!
Yes the rain fly is infuriating! Just curious, did you sleep in the tent in colder weather? Curious how warm it stays, we haven’t been in it in temps lower than 40, but were plenty warm in it at those temps, granted we had sleeping bag with ratings to 20F

About the same, I think the low was 43. It seemed to hold warmth in pretty well but I'd like to see if I need a heater if it were any colder. Sleeping bag was enough in the 40s though.
