I modified my order with the dealer for my 2022 Badlands 2-door (non sasquatch) and requested the optional carbonized grey beauty ring wheels ($995 add on). The dealer told me that this wheel isn't an option for the Badlands trim and the computer wouldn't let him add it (apparently only available on base, big bend, black diamond trims?). Anyone have any thoughts or wisdom on this?

Well, I asked him to double check (nicely), and this is the response I got. Someone's having a rough Monday...

Me:
"I hate to ask, but is there anyone you can call to inquire about this?"

Dealer's response:
"SINCE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A FORD COMPATABILITY ISSUE...PLACING YOUR ORDER. Let me invite you to come and sit at my desk with Ford's WBDO open so you can see this compatibility issue is highlighted in RED."

The plot thickens...

Me: "I didn't mean to upset you. Thanks for confirming with more specifics that this isn't possible. Spending this much on a vehicle and having to wait a year for it I just wanted to ensure that I was getting exactly what I wanted, I hope you can understand."

The reply...

"What Ford is planning ...not guarantying...is there will be additional wheel and tire options available for you to chose from in March / April. Please make a note to review your order around April 10th to make changes."
Kind Regards,

Your Salesman

I would call his bluff on WBDO. There are plenty of us 2022 2D BL orders already in the system with the upgraded wheels.

It's possible Ford has changed something in the last several weeks, but it seems less likely than yet another clueless salesman.

Is the jerk looking at the badlands optionals? or those 18" accessory wheels in the B&P?
