I have eruption green OBX-SAS. I’m thinking of linex ultra color match the fenders, worried those big flares will get scratched up or flake from flex. Anyone have experience with linex ultra? Do you think this would look good or bad?

Wait and see if it gets scratched up, and if so, you could Rhino-line it then.

I’ll either paint them and deal with it or go ahead and linex. I hope to not paint them twice. I was just looking to see if anyone had any experience with the look of this paint/finish

been thinking about doing this with my Rapid Red for about a year. Would love to see if the color-match looked acceptable. Otherwise, just black would be an upgrade. Have actually thought about doing lower fourth of the whole car

I think a lot of us have thought about it in some form. For me, I want a darker black for my flares to match my lights, new bumper, mirrors, etc...

My issue with LineX or spraying bed liner is there is so much texture that they will look dirty and will require a scrub to be clean.

I have restored 2 M1102 trailers this summer and sprayed Farm Equipment gloss black and a white. Farm Equipment is the brand at TSC. It has great adhesion and dries to a smooth finish even on textured surface.

I plan to spray my flares in gloss black when I do my last trailer. Hopefully soon.

Any pictures? My wish list was to do the top, bumpers, rails, flairs, and grill so they would match.

Thank you so much. Very much. I think it looks phenomenal and a total upgrade from that sun-faded gray. How long have you had it done now? Any thoughts, complaints, regrets? And forgive me for prying and you don't have to share if you don't want to obviously, but what was your cost (it appears you did just the top and flairs)? The Line-X place by me is quoting $700-800 for a top and $300-500 for each other piece. Not sure if that would be a rip off. Was hoping they would give a deal for doing all the gray parts on the truck.

Paid $180 for the bumper to be done. It was not on the truck when I brought it in.

That's about right for the entire top.
3-500$ EACH piece is a lot high.

If it were me, I'd charge the same for the top, and maybe another $100 to do the flares, $100-200 for both bumpers.
Especially if I was already prepping to do liner and had all the parts off the vehicle.
Now removal of bumpers would add to that cost, for sure.
