Local dealer says I would be 15th inline for reservation and selling at MSRP

so received a call from original dealer with reservation. Stated that ready to order and would be 15th in line for allocations. They are a large volume dealer with ties to jeep dealership in mid size town. it would mean the difference of MSRP vs granger deal. They are requesting 2500 down. talking as if can get one this year with all the info I have been reading vs maybe late 22. already planned build doesn't have any issue with commodity shortage. Any feedback?

msrp for a 21 is a pretty good deal IMO. Only a few dealerships across the country are doing better than MSRP on ‘21s. You’re 15th out of what? If you’re 15th out of 300 rez’, you’d be pretty safe even with the limited options.

MSPR and invoice is less than that, you would have to get some decent options to bring it up to 2k. MSRP and invoice on a base is just a few hundred.
